Ok, I must admit that I find this show on A & E entertaining (does that make me morbid?:confused3) I'm sympathetic about some situations, but it's kinda funny watching some of the reactions. So many really feel that they are above the law. One guy who came back to his double parked car says to the ticket agent "My car wasn't there". Ummm, it was and is still sitting there double parked!

I have had my share of tickets over the years, and thankfully, I haven't reacted like some of these folks (shot out to Philly, my hometown:))

I have also learned some things about parking laws that I never knew - like for 2 hour parking spaces - you can't just move the car to another spot on that street after 2 hours. You have to move it to another block entirely (at least in Philly)

Just learned today (from the Detroit show) that they can boot any car that carries the plate with the tickets on it. Doesn't matter if that car was the one ticketed.

And don't get me started on the impound lot - OH BOY! How frustrating it must be to have to spend hours and hours there trying to retrieve your vehicle (yes, I know it's their own fault, for most people. But it seems like someone could come up with a quicker system:guilty:) The Philly lot doesn't even have a bathroom. And from what I saw, a bus doesn't stop there - HELLO, if they're coming to the impound lot, they probably don't have a vehicle at that time:sad2: It would make sense to have a bus stop right at the lot.

My car was towed years ago, because I was parked in a no parking zone. Fortunately, I had the proper paperwork and money available at that time to get it out quickly.

I love this show as well. I almost always side with parking enforcment, but I guess it's different when you're on the other side of the ticket. :happytv: I can't stand big brother or the bachelor or that type of show, this is my ideal of "reality" tv.

I loved the one where the girl KEPT parking in the same spot, marked as a no stopping zone and said the parking enforcement officer was after her. And she seemed surprised that she got towed. The lack of brains is astounding.

Well at the impound lot they are always going to show those people having major problems, because who is going to watch people who have all their paperwork and etc?

However I will say when it comes to their impound lot I laugh when the employees ask if they have their registration? They already know it's in their cars so that person needs to step out of line, go outside to their cars to get it and get back in line once again. Unless they have a seperate line for those guests who needed to get that information.

I was laughing up a storm watching the marathon of it yesterday.

What I don't get--I hate getting a parking ticket as much as anyone else, but is there really THAT much of a lack of self accountability in today's society that makes people go bananas when they park in a manner they are not supposed to and then get caught?

I'm sure not everyone is like that---but you know there must be enough like that to make enough tv out of it.

I've gotten 2 tickets, one deserved and the other ended up being a broken meter. I went to pay the second ticket and mentioned it. They would not let me pay until they checked it and sure enough--all those days later, my meter was still broken and I didn't have to pay the fine.

We watch too! There are CRAZY people out there, huh?

We were just watching the 2 newest ones today - we had them recorded. Man, I would lose my job the very first day cuz I would tell some of those people where to go! :rotfl: Like the guy in Detroit with the trailer on the street? What a piece of work!

I love watching this show.

DD11 thinks I should become 1 and thinks the myself and "Ponytail" would make a sassy team!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get me started on Ponytail! Sweetheart.....LET IT GO! Ponytail or not, the rest of your head is still the same:lmao:

DH and I love this show! I have my DVR set to record it just so we never miss a show! It is hilarious!!

:lmao: I know, right! That ponytail is ridiculous! And the half opened shirt with the gold chain showing just makes it worse!
I love that show. Garfield and Sherry are my favs.

I like Garfield and Sherry as well. But Ponytail, he is a trip. I think he tries to help people, but then they give him lip and he iis like BAM, here is your ticket.

I am kind of surprised they play some bow chic a wow wow song or some bad 70's music when it's Ponytail's segment

And then to go wait in line at the PPA, no wonder they have the glass partition there.

We like this show too. They are doing a second city this year :D

I am wating for someone to get shoot, I know it's a job but they are not armed.

There was one gentleman that was so nice when he went to pick up his car. There was a problem because he had moved to Philly from Georgia and he couldn't get his car out. The poor guy had to walk something like 5 miles to the courthouse and then back and he was still happy and singing. I bet attitudes like his are rare to the employees.

I love how some of the people refuse to take the ticket. Do they not realize that they still have to pay it even if they drop it on the ground or throw it away? I'm sure a lot of it is because the cameras are there though.

What's even funnier is when people take the tickets off of THEIR car and put it on someone else's, thinking that that other person will pay for it. The ticket has the car make/model AND plate # on it. This happens a lot outside my work. It once got violent, with a guy going into his car and coming out with a baseball bat after he once put HIS ticket for EXPIRED REGISTRATION on my friend's car.

It would be awesome if they caught this on Parking Wars. I've yet to see it.

OMg! When the two car owners almost got into a fight because one got a ticket and the other didn't (because he was with his vehicle). What a HOOT! Then the other guy comes out and wants to fight because there were cussing around his daughter.:rotfl2: Meanwhile, PPA guy just stands back and is glad that no one's yelling at HIM anymore:lmao:

We just found this show last week and are now hooked. My DS12 loves it....I remind him everytime we watch it that this is a lesson in how NOT to act. :lmao:

We have it set to record every episode...it just cracks me up!!!

I love they are doing mini marathons. We missed quite a few of them...

And doncha just love when they park their cars in a fire zone or a handicapped parking zone, and then they have the nerve to be upset when they get a ticket? "I'm only parking here long enough to go in and get my lunch. I'm coming right back!" :happytv: Sorry, man. No parking means NO PARKING EVEN IF YOU NEED TO GET YOUR LUNCH, PICK UP YOUR KIDS, OR DROP OFF YOUR LIBRARY BOOKS. Idiots. They deserve their tickets and then some.
