We are staying at the Fort in a few weeks (1st week of April). We are running into some time crunch issues due to eating (since there is no quick service spot at FW-thanks Disney) and making other plans work. Do you get a parking pass staying at FW that allows you to park all day at other resorts? I know you can park for limited time at other resorts for meals etc, but we need to stay all day. Are spots at other resorts difficult to come by?

If you are only going for QS why would you need to park all day? Resorts close to parks generally limit your parking to 3 hours(Poly,CR,GF, Boardwalk area). Pop, Allstars, POFQ etc would probably not limit your parking. If you will be at a park anyway just use Disney transport to get to your CS choice. FW doesn't have any quick serve, most likey because most campers don't use them, however WL is a quick boat or bus ride away and CR is a boat ride away.

Ok. That didn't really answer my question. Due to my plans I need to be able to park at a resort...we will not be in a park. I guess I should rephrase my question: Does staying at FW get you a Disney parking pass similar to one you get at other resorts? When I stayed at the Kidani Village you got a parking pass. It said KV, but I was able to park at the Polynesian without any questions all day.

Even with the parking pass(you will get one at FW just like anyother resort), you are not supposed to park all day at a resort you are not staying at. Sometimes, if occupancy levels are low enough, it is allowed, but it is not something you should count on being able to always do. Unless you valet park you are only supposed to park for as long as you have bussiness at the resort. Again, sometimes it is allowed and sometimes the 3 hour limit is enforced and the only way to know for sure is to ask at the guard booth when you go to park.

Even with the parking pass one day last October we were not allowed to park at the Wilderness Lodge unless we had a reservation. Parking was full. The securtiy guard was checking names vs a sheet he had of reservations. We told us to go back to the Fort and take the boat over.

Really don't count on being able to park at any resort with the pass.

We were at Fort Wilderness the beginning of February, and if it helps at all- they DO have some quick service areas. At the main pool there is a lunch counter there that had about 5 choices, and actually it was really good food! And down by the lake the have the Trails to Go, I think it was called- you could get quite a few things there also, and either eat at the picnic tables or back at your camper or cabin. The chicken was awesome!! Hope that helps you out! I didn't think they had anything either, so I was happily surprised!

As others have said it's hit or miss. Your parking pass does not entitle you to park at any resort for unlimited amounts of time. We've had times where they didn't bat an eyelash at letting us park and times where they checked reservations to make sure we had one to allow us to park at the resort.

While I haven't seen this personally I've read from people on the boards who have had their vehicles towed while they were gone and others who have confirmed seeing them enforce the parking if the lot is getting full.

I was wondering about parking all day for QS if you aren't going into a park.:confused3 I'm sure some folks have tried this if they want to pool hop, but that's another story.;)

DH and I have been able to park at several resorts for dining. Never know if they will check reservations or not. We have been turned away based on events, crowds, etc.

Let us know how it works for you. Enjoy your trip!
