We will be doing our first character dining experience in May and have chosen to eat breakfast at 'Ohana :) however, I can't seem to get a straight answer as to whether or not we will have to pay to park at the Polynesian Resort. We are staying offsite. I was told there "May be parking fees". Thanks for helping me out!

There will be no parking fee. Just tell the guard at the gate you are there for a reservation, you will get a 3 hour parking pass. We always stay off-site and have visited many Disney resorts for dining and just checking them out.

Thank you so much! The cast member I chatted with wasn't very helpful and basically told me to call the Polynesian Resort and find out :-/

You have several choices...
1. park at the Polynesian for your 'Ohana breakfast, then leave. Parking at the resort isn't allowed for park access.
2. Pay to park at the TTC, and either walk or monorail to the Polynesian. Then, you can head to a park for the day.
3. Pay to valet park at the Polynesian. You can then leave the car there for the day and head to a park.

If you aren't planning on heading to a park, then that's all a moot point. If you just want to drive there, park, eat breakfast and then leave, you won't pay anything.

If you are heading to the MK afterwards, I would just pay to valet at the Poly and after you are done eating you can just hop on the monorail to the MK. You can leave the car there for the whole day. You have to pay to park anyway since you are off property…it would be much more convenient to pay that days parking at the resort
We love Ohana for breakfast! We usually eat there every trip:goodvibes

We love to valet park at the resorts when we're eating & going to the park...even though we stay on site AND have annual passes that would give us free parking anyway...it's just way to convenient to valet when you're eating before or after park touring...way faster than parking, eating, then driving & parking again to go to a park. We also valet park at the Epcot resorts when we're having dinner or breakfast at one of the Epcot resorts & then going to Epcot.

The cost to valet park at the resorts is $15 per day...good for all day & evening. For example, you can valet park at 7:00 AM, have breakfast, then head to the Magic Kingdom for the full day & evening...all for the same valet price. You can take the monorail (around the corner and across the lobby from 'Ohana on the same upper level) Coming back from the park, your choice will be resort boats or monorail...depending on what time of day you're leaving the park, the boats can be very pleasant way to end a visit. Make sure your get the boat headed to the Polynesian, though!

When you're tired after a long day at the park, it's also very nice to hop the monorail from the Magic Kingdom, get off at the resort, go downstairs and hand the guy your claim ticket...and you sit & rest while they go get the car & pull up right in front of you with air conditioner going!

Remember a few $ for a tip for the guy who runs to get your car--$2 or $3 is fine.

The reason they said that there "may be parking fees" is likely because they didn't know what the rest of your day was going to be like.

As stated below, if you want to go into a park after breakfast, you'll have to either park in that park's main lot, which will cost you the regular day parking fee (unless you are staying on property or are an AP holder).

If you are just going to breakfast and then leaving property, you won't need to pay anything.

:earsboy:

We did the valet parking and then rode the monorail over- it was so nice. We let them park the car, had breakfast at Chef mickeys and then just got to enjoy heading to the park. No moving the car, dealing with trams, etc.

Then at the end of the day when we were dead tired, we just handed the guy our slip and he got our car for us while we waited in the comfort of the lobby.

It was the same price to as the TTC, it just cost us a few bucks In a tip. SO. WORTH. IT
