Parking Question

We are driving for the first time here in a few weeks and we are dvc members and annual pass holders, Is there free parking at the parks? Also how about at the resorts when coming for dining reservations? Also when you drive down do you find yourself using the bus system or still driving a few days to the parks? Thanks

Anyone staying on Disney property gets free parking at the parks.

AP holders also get free parking, no matter where you are staying.

At resorts, there is no charge for parking. If you are coming for a meal, you just need to tell the guard why you are there and they will either let you in or give you a timed parking pass and let you in.

We almost always have a car and use it for transportation to the parks except for MK - in that case, we often use some form of Disney transportation to get there since if you drive you have to go to the TTC anyway and then use Disney transportation to get to the park itself.

Agree with this 100%. We use buses for MK and drove our own car to the other parks. Went from Epcot to Animal Kingdom in about 20min. Could have waited for a bus that long!

We also drive to all the parks except MK. Of course, we typically stayed at CR before we were DVC members and now will most often stay only at BLT so we could walk to MK.

We also bus it only to MK. We drive to AK, walk or boat to Epcot and DHS since we almost always stay at BWV.

We have never been charged for parking. Hate the buses but I like the boats. Go figure

Yes you get free parking at all of the parks if you are staying on property. Just display your resort parking pass in your window.

You get free parking but we find it more convenient and enjoyable to use the WDW Transportation System.

We always rent a car, and yes, we do still always take the buses to the parks. The exception is going to AK from OKW. Often it is faster to drive to that park than take the bus since the AK bus from OKW stops at BB on the way, making the trip longer. However, if we are going to park hop, we'll take the bus anyway.

The only park I will take Disney Transportation to is EPCOT...drinking around the world doesn't play well with driving. Otherwise, free parking and my own transportation is my preferred method of moving about Disney World.
