Hello!

We are staying at the YC, but plan on dinner at the Poly one evening. We are hoping to take our car, and park at the Poly. After dinner, we were planning on a tour of the monorail resorts to check out the Christmas decorations. Does my YC parking pass entitle me to park at the Poly? Or will we have a time limit?

If there is a time limit, would it just be easier for us to park at the TTC with our YC parking pass?

OR - should we take the YC bus to the TTC and go from there??

Thanks! :goodvibes

Even guests of another Disney resort are given a 3 hour time limit.

There isn't a YC bus to the TTC, they go directly to the entrance of the MK. If you're only going to be a little longer than 3 hours, I would drive over and valet park. They're usually not as strict with the time limit when you're paying to park.

Or park at the TTC as close to the Polynesian as possible, and walk to the main building - then do your monorail tour. Or, park at the TTC, take the monorail to the Poly, then continue around. Either of these options offers free parking; valet parking at the Poly (or any resort that offers it) costs $11.

Just make sure the MK is open late enough that the monorail will be running long enough for you to make it around.

Depending on what time of the day that is, they may not be able to get close at all. You pretty much have to go where the CM's direct you in that parking lot right? I imagine that they'd be pretty far out there by dinner time. Not that it's too big a deal, but they would want to factor in having to wait for the tram and then walking from the TTC.

If you are valet parked at YC and have your pass in your window I don't think they will charge you to valet park at the Poly. We usually use the valet parking for the week and they didn't charge us when we drove over to Shula's. The guy said that since we were already paying for valet at GF they could valet park us there too. I don't know if that's really the policy or not, but we said thank you and tipped him and went on to dinner. We did the same thing at YC when we went there for dinner.

That's the correct policy. It's a daily charge, not a per usage charge.

If the OP were to park at the TTC, as a guest staying at the Yacht Club they don't pay anything. So it's something else to keep in mind if they felt like saving the $11.00 + the tip to valet park. Plus it's a short walk from the TTC to the Polynesian.

Thanks everyone! You guys are awesome! :goodvibes

If the bus doesn't go from the YC to the TTC, then maybe we'll take the bus to the MK, and take the monorail over to the Poly! (Disney is the one place I don't mind extra travel time!) Thanks for helping me figure this out! :thumbsup2

You're welcome and for the record, there is no bus that goes from the Yacht Club to the TTC. So the idea of taking the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then the Resort Monorail to the Polynesian is a good one.
