Properly designed you should be able to park in the parking lot of your unit. These situations took place in the evening after the parks closed. One night I had to cruise for a while to find a spot and that was several units down. All the lots were quite full, particularly on the weekends.
Staying at SSR a few years ago I recall more parking, but that was when they were still building out the resort.
Just curious, dumbo71, where did you find info on parking at AKV? I've been wondering what the setup was going to be. Is there something I haven't seen yet? I'm just wild to find out about the layout, floor plans, etc....![]()
Maybe parking problems are happening at OKW because many here say that you must have a car to stay at OKW.![]()
sorry but building 45 and 46 are just designed that way - the first half of building 45 has no parking lot neither does the last half of building 46.....
now if you had to park in another building lot say 47 then you might get more sympathy.
you can do what several guest do - you pull up to the nearest sidewalk to your room for loading and unloading your car. then park it after you have unloaded it.
look at the map

you are not going to get your own personally space with your room number on it at OKW. if you did you might even be further out.![]()

I agree with you, Pat. We liked the units at SSR well enough, but didnt' particularily feel the parking was "outside our door" like it is at OKW. Sure you might not always get to park in the space right outside your particular unit at OKW, but your parking lot will be VERY close in most cases, with a few exceptions.

Are we talking about the same SSR? Granted I stayed in the Springs but the lot was huge compared to the Marriott Cypress Harbour I came from that morning. CH is a lot like OKW with the small building and theming. Parking is a nightmare there. You can never find a free HC spot for a van. But SSR was loaded with them.

Oh my, Tony's right, I have yet to feel confident about fitting any of our rentals into those parking spaces in the underground parking facility at VB!
Bobbi
LOL, OKW will be MUCH closer than ANY parking space at GF!
definitely - I walked a mile (not kidding) at GF just getting back and forth to the car....
