Parking for the "Magic Behind the Steam Trains

I have booked the "Magic Behind the Steam Trains" tour for my son and I. We have to meet at the MK early in the morning and have been instructed that we will need to arrange our own transportation as Disney transportation will not be running this early. We are staying on site at POFQ and as of now will have our car. Where would we park? We can't drive to the MK directly and the TTC will not have monorails or boats running yet.

I am pretty sure that you are to park at the Contemporary for that. I know I have read reports and heard about people being instructed to park there for the Train Tour.

Maybe someone who has done the tour will come along.

We've done the Steam Train Tour twice (DH is a train nut). The first time we parked at the Contemporary and walked over to MK. The second time we happened to see a bus for MK at our resort as we were headed to the car so we took the bus. We just barely got there in time. Since you have a car I would drive, park at the Contemorary and walk over. That way you can give yourselves plenty of time and not feel rushed.

I thought I would update this post, as I am at WDW now and took the tour. Even though I was told when I reserved the tour that transportation would not be running, the Concierge at POFQ told me the first bus would be there at 6:30AM. Sure enough the bus showed up on time and we were at the Magic Kingdom by 6:45AM.

Buses start running, every morning, from every resort, to MK, by 6:30am. They are also up and running to other parks as well.
But, these early buses don't run as frequently as the regular buses do...so if you just miss one, you may have to wait up to 25 mins or so for the next one. So, get out there nice and early!!!!!
