Hello! Can someone help me with this question?
In June my family will be driving to WDW from Texas. We are planning an early arrival time to early for check in at our onsite hotel. A-sports

If I make a PS for Chef Mickey's, what kind of parking situation will I be faced with?

Is there a fee to park at a resort that you are not staying at if you have a PS?

Would it be permissable for us to park at the Contemporary that morning, ride the monorail to MK for an hour of fun, go back to the C for our PS, then head over to our hotel for check in?

I do not want to bend or break any of Disney's parking rules, so any help would be appreciated.

Disney strongly discourages guests from parking at the resort hotels (especially the monorail hotels) to go to a park. Those who are not actually staying at the Contemporary are almost always given a 3 hour parking pass.

Self-parking at all of the on site resort hotels is free - no charge to anyone unless they take advantage of the valet parking service. (That is $6/day plus tip).

Parking at the theme parks is also free to those who stay at any of the on-site resort hotels.

My advice to you is to let Disney take care of your transportation for that first day - you'll all probably be tired of that car by then anyway, right?

Take the bus from the All Star Sports Resort to the MK. Bus service starts very early and is actually quite good from the All Star resorts. Enjoy your hour or so at the MK and then either walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary. If you haven't ridden the resort monorail into the Contemporary before, you are in for a treat. My "jaded" little nephews were most impressed when we did it! After breakfast, you can just use the Contemporary transportation (monorail, boat or bus) to get to your next destination.

If you really think you need/want your car, drive to the TTC (parking lot for the MK) and park there. As mentioned above, it will be free as you will have already checked in to the All Stars and will have your resort parking pass. From the TTC, take the monorail (or ferry) to the MK, enjoy your time there, and then take the monorail (or walk) to the Contemporary. After breakfast, you can just board the monorail back to the TTC and your car.

Enjoy the trip!
