It now costs $8 to park your car at the parks. Someone else posted this so I went and checked it at MGM today. All the prices rose $1 from what they were before.

All the more reason to stay onsite and utilize the transportation services::yes::

All the more reason to buy an Annual Pass if you plan to visit more than 10 days per year. Parking is included

All the more reason to stay onsite and drive, parking is free for onsite guests.

Thanks for the info. We'll be using our car to go around the parks this summer for the first time...so what are the parking lots like? Any tips?

they are usually manned by someone who will direct you to the row you are to park in. Any tips, no, but, they are far more orderly than your mall parking lots. :)

Driving to AK is great but I would think twice before driving to the Magic Kingdom. I think taking the Disney bus is faster and easier than parking at the TTC, taking the shuttle to the monorail then the monorail to the parks. We did this once on our last trip and stuck with the buses after that.

Make sure you check to see which section and row you are parked in and remember it! Don't assume the CM on the tram tells you the correct location. Our first trip to WDW the CM mentioned one location and when we came out late that evening we couldn't find the car (it was in another section)! It's one of those things that it very funny after the fact but at the time it was a little stressful.

If you can remember the time you parked a CM can tell you what section and probably what row you parked in. WDW keeps track of that information.

The one time I parked in a WDW lot, even though I knew which section I was in, I still couldn't find my car.

Thank goodness for the alarm button!!! I hit that, and walked right to it!!!

Last October, we were leaving Epcot late one night after Illuminations. I saw this guy walking all over the lot, pointing his keyless entry thing (it might have been an alarm, too) trying desperately to find his car. I couldn't help but laugh at the guy, even though I felt sorry for him.

Myself, it took me a few minutes to find mine, too. I went to the row number I wrote on my piece of paper but did not see my car. I didn't realize how many people have gray cars that look very similar to my Camry until then. :D Turned out we were a lot further down the row than I thought.

I use my digital camera to take a photo of the signpost closest to where I've parked.

Awesome idea! I'll have to try to remember that one! I'm always forgetting where I parked my car at the mall. I know I'll easily lose a rental car in a vast WDW parking lot. Thanks for sharing that tip!
