Not a shock since Sea World upped their parking a few days ago also. Its getting ridiculous though.

This is OT, but I went to our six flags in town here last week (5$ to park) I asked for a ticket or something since I would be going to check into the hotel that is ACROSS THE STREET. They said no, I would have to pay the 5$ again! I said are you joking,.....nope gotta pay every time you enter. Anyway...I guess its bad everywhere.

Yes, it went up a dollar also:

Cars, Vans, & Motorcycles: $10.00
- Preferred Parking is available for automobiles for $14.00
- RVs & Trailers: $11.00

Should we be surprised, they give out free tickets, then get their money back
from the rest of us ticket buyers, Universal was almost comparable to Disney
as a special experince, now it's losing that postion, ever since they changed
ownership it's little thing after little thing, and after awhile the little thing's add up and make a big difference, they are becoming comparable to six flags.
And that's too bad, does anyone know if the LA park is being run as bad?

Disney's going to follow suit eventually. Maybe not right away (since they were several months behind the price increase), but I guarantee you that sometime this calender year they will also up their parking prices. And remember, Universal wasn't the first park to increase the parking to $10, they're just following Sea World's lead.

$15 to park at Six Flags parks (with the exception of Kentucky Kingdom - I don't believe they own that lot). While ten bucks is a little steep, it could be much worse. Anyone making comparisons between Universal and Six Flags either hasn't been to a Six Flags park lately or got beat up as a kid by Universal (okay, that's physically impossible. Whatever).

But be warned, Universal - the first time I hear some kid bouncing a basketball, I'm cancelling my PAP.
