I just called Fort Wilderness and was told they no longer allow guests to park campers/trailers at Fort while they are cruising or staying at another Disney resort. I explained we are staying at AKVclub level for three nights then going to Disney's Vero Beach for three nights this summer and then checking into the Fort for 5-7 nights. Does anyone know of another overflow lot or parking area so that we do not have to drag camper down to Vero Beach and back? We are already hauling from upstate NY. Thanks in advance!

You will need to call the resorts and ask. I had a physician I work with who was visiting Disney at the same time as me and he was in his Motorhome, but staying at the Grand Floridian. They let him park it in the back of their parking area.

The Fort probably doesn't allow it due to the fact that a lot of the time their overflow is already full or close to it and they have to maintain enough room to give their guests places to park should their sites not be ready.

I know when I was there in November the overflow was full and they had to actually start using the grassy area beside Tri Circle D to house the overflow trailers.

Thanks!:) Yeah, we were there in November and they were using the overflow area of grass. (second week of November) We used to be able to leave it while cruising. It is a small 20ft camper..I may ask at AKV since we will be going from there to Vero and then back to the Fort.

I priced out parking at the airport when I was in a similar situation. It was a long term lot close to the airport and they were charging $8 per night. You can google MCO long term parking and get loads of results.

When I chose a lot I then called them and explained that I had a pop up to leave and they were fine with that and will give a reservation.
