Parking at the parks/TTC

I see a lot of people on here saying they like to rent a car instead of dealing with the buses. But how is the parking at the parks & TTC? If you plan to get to the park for rope drop, how far away do you have to park? Other than MK, I don't feel like the buses are that close, but the parking is questionable. Any opinions? Thanks...
