flying out of buffalo in 2 weeks and was wondering what the parking is like at the airport.

is it easy to find the long term parking?
is it expensive?
are there luggage carts there and are they easy to get? we'll be travelling with 2 small children and their car seats so we will have a ton of stuff with us!

thanks for your help!

any other info would be greatly appreciated!!! :)

We just returned 2 weeks ago and found the Buffalo airport very easy to navigate. The airport shuttle busses are very frequent and the driver dropped us right at our car when we returned. You will love it, have a great trip.:)

We are flying out of Buffalo in 2 weeks but will be spending the night a hotel the night before so we can park at the hotel and they will shuttle us over.

Have a look at www.sunpark.com I always use them and find them to be a little cheaper than the airport with very reliable shuttles

I think it cost us about $35 for a week (print coupon from Buffalo Airport website), shuttle pick up locations are all over the long term lot so are easy to locate. Just find one, push the button and wait. The bus won't be long at all. Carts are easy to find once you get to the terminal building. Make sure you remember where you park ! On your return, your shuttle driver will usually drop you off right at your car.

Can you verify what a week is?

I know it sounds silly but at SunPark a week is only 5 days.

When I price out my days they want $64.64 ( with coupon)

The BNIA parking site sasys $ 38 a week and $ 825 day ( with coupon) which would only be $ 57.50

Any help out there?

A week is 7 days at buffalo and is $38 with coupon. More times than not the shuttle bus is pulling up behind our car as we are parking which is great.

We parked very early on the 16th May (3:30 am) and picked up late night on the 23rd (about midnight) and paid only the $35 or $38. Buffalo Airport is so traveller-friendly, we loved it. I used to travel quite a lot on business and have been to lots of different airports. Not many have been as easy to use as Buffalo.

this is very reassuring!

but how on earth are we going to get on the shuttle with 2 small children, a double stroller, 2 car seats, 2 large suit cases, and carry ons??? this just spells disaster to me!!! :)

Firstly, stay calm ;) The shuttle drivers are very friendly and helpful. They will help load and unload all of your gear. As someone else mentioned, they will drop you right at your car after your return flight making life easy for you upon your return. As for arriving at the parking lot prior to your flight to Orlando very often the shuttle driver will see you enter the lot and will follow you to your parking spot and load you from there. If a shuttle isn't following you one of the things you can do to make life easier is pull up to the shuttle bus shelter closest to where you are going to park (you'll find them at the end of an ailse every few aisles or so) and unload your gear and kids, have one of you wait with the kids while the other parks the car and walks to the shelter (this way you don't have to haul everything from the car to the shelter). The shelters are enclosed and there is a button inside that you press which will turn on the light above the shelter to let the shuttle driver know you're waiting for a pick up. When you get on the shuttle the driver should give you a card on which he'll write the location of your shelter/car and you can hand this to the driver upon your return making it easier to find your car. Sorry for the long-windedness...Enyoy your trip.

wow, thanks for all that info!

some great tips in there!

i really appreciate the reassurance. i've never flown with my kids before so i'm apprehensive to say the least!

I'm not sure if this would work for you, but there is a drop-off area at the terminal. We've unloaded luggage and I stayed with it while DH went to park. It might be too difficult with all your gear and the little ones, though.

We usually do a park and fly at Sleep Inn but twice we have just parked at the airport and DH always drops off me and the kids with all the luggage and he goes and parks the car then just jogs back to the checkin. The airport is much smaller then pearson so it isn't really that far for 1 adult, wouldn't do it with kids, luggage etc but your DH should be fine.

Looks like some of us are going around the same time!!!!!

Have a great trip.

Great info !!
we are flying out 12/08 @ 3pm, so I might get DH to drop me and the kids off while he goes to park the car ... unless it's a nice day we will all go to park the car, less stress for DH !! :rotfl: :rotfl: that way I do all the thinking and he just drives.

We were flying out around the same time as you but managed to change flights to 990 at 1:15 which is direct.

Have to checked your flight availablity lately? I just got a $ 120 credit for the return portion yesterday.
