Parking at Port Canaveral

Your post had me slightly confused...do you mention at booking that you need a 40% off voucher for 7 nights/8 days to park at the terminal? Does that change your room rate? Or is the $20 more than standard room rate you mentioned and the 7-day parking special being a different rate mean parking at the hotel for 7 days?

Just to be 100% sure, we can stay the night before at one of the resorts on this list:

& get 40% off of parking at the lot right by the ship?

I see the price to pre pay is $128 based off of the link posted above...is $128 a pre pay special or is that the everyday price? I'm trying to figure out the price to park for 7 nights/8 days after the voucher.

There are two options at most of the area hotels:
1) Choose the stay and park rate at the hotel meaning you stay a night before your cruise at the hotel and you also get to park at the hotel for duration of your cruise with shuttle transport to/from the ship. This is a special room rate, typically about $20 higher per night than the regular rate.

2) Choose the regular rate and request a 40% off voucher to park at Port Canaveral ship ports. This does not impact the room rate and is simply a coupon/voucher given to you by the hotel at either check-in or check-out. You need to ask at one of those points. It's a specific set of hotels that offer the 40% off coupon. If you want to use this, you cannot pre-pay to park at the Canaveral cruise parking ramp. You need to show the voucher and pay when arrive on departure day.

I've heard mixed reviews on the 3rd party shuttle company that gets you from hotel to ship and back. Many seem to prefer the discount parking voucher versus transfers.

We're booked to stay at the new Hampton Inn at Port Canaveral in March, 2017. They're not on the list that offer the 40% off voucher, but I called the hotel direct and they said they have it.

We are not staying at a local hotel the night before, so we can't take advantage of the Parking Voucher Program and get a discounted rate at Port Canaveral...correct?

If I was to select a cheaper off-site option, which is better Park n Cruise or Park Port Canaveral or are there still better options?

Thanks.
