parking at Polynesian

:rotfl2:In that case, I must look extremely innocent, because I've never been given a three hour pass.

Because they don't have to. Your time entering is known at the guard house, and think about it, who will not have a Poly parking pass in their window. Oh, yeah, those who aren't guests at the Poly. Pretty easy really. Bottom line is still, respect those who are staying at the Poky the way you'd expect at your home resort and don't take up a parking spot to go to MK.

But that makes it a lot harder for the guy in the little cart riding around checking cars to know when they got there and thats assuming that they took down the plate number and the time.

Maybe they chalk tires like Barney Fife. :confused3

Maybe, but I've never observed any guard taking down the plate numbers of cars entering a resort. I agree with another poster who stated that that would seem to make their job much more difficlut than just giving out a 3 hour pass.

And, for the record, I was not suggesting that anyone "disrespect" those staying at the Poly or any other resort by parking there. I was simply relaying my experience at CR, when I specifically asked to be directed to valet so that I could leave my car (after having been told by the valet at GF previously that if you pay for valet there is no time limit), and the guard told me I could just park in the self-park area. Perhaps it was because it was off-season and/or perhaps it had to do with the fact that we were going to the MK for the Halloween party, so it was evening (vs having the car there all day long).

I have seen them taking plate numbers. I assume from people who do not have a WDW resort parking pass. Anytime I've had a pass, they don't take information, they usually just ask to see a room key or ID.

Yea they must think we are a bunch of Jag Offs 'n at*.

*Best Pittsburghese I could type. They say that a lot on DVE when doing a "Pittsburgh accent". People from outside the area don't think I have a PGH accent. Even though my Mother is kind of from the Nor'side (Spring Hill) and I live only a mile outside the city limits up the Ohio. :rotfl:

i'm way up the allegheny, but i've got the accent in spades, hey yinz guys!:goodvibes

OT but always seem to run into quite a few other Pittsburgh people @ WDW.:thumbsup2

Nah, don't. I got one when I used Valet Parking at the GF! :rotlf2: talk about thinking you must look shifty - I apparently didn't look like I belonged :teeth:

:lmao:Likely a rookie valet's gaffe, but oh-so funny.
