Parking at Poly

This is our first time renting a car and staying at the Poly. Do we have to pay for parking when we stay there? Do we have to pay for parking if we go to the parks?

Parking is free for guests staying there (but valet service has a charge). They will give you a sign to keep in your window which will also allow you free parking at the parks and other resorts if you visit them.

Valet parking (at the deluxe resorts) is $7/day. I like using it because often self-parking leaves you with a long walk.

We always self park at the Poly. I didn't think the walk was too long in comparison to some of the other resorts. We were in Tokelau and it didn't take more than 5 mins to get to our bldg.

If you stay in one of the longhouses that is close to the parking lot you may find a shorter walk to your longhouse than the GCH. When we were there a few weeks ago we stayed in Rarotonga. I could park the car and walk to our longhouse quicker than the GCH.

Also, the Poly parking lot has letters in each section so you remember where you parked. I usually parked in section I and walked right to Rarotonga.
