I'm sailing on the Dream in 2 weeks and I usually fly. I haven't parked at the terminal in over 15 years. Do they take your luggage from your car before you park? Just curious. TIA!

Yes. They will direct you to an area by the curb to pull up and drop off your bags. Be sure to have your luggage tags on the bags. Be sure to keep a small bag with you with passports/ birth certificates, cruise paperwork.

Port Canaveral is easy with luggage. There is a drop off area where the porters will take your bags (and fill out a tag if you don't already have them) before you drive to the garage.

What is the fee for parking in the garage? Also, are these regular luggage identification tags or tags you get for your cruise, like the ones you'd get for Magical Express?

Check out the Port Canaveral parking page for more info.

DCL will send you luggage tags (and some other cruise documentation) about a month or so before your cruise. Those are the tags you put on the luggage you are going to leave with the porters.

if you don't have tags, the porters can provide them

last I heard there were also folks IN the garage to collect your bags if you prefer.

It must depend on what time you get there. We got there around 9:30am and were directed to pull into the garage, and we took our bags out, got in line and the porter came to us to get the bags. This was the case last July on the Dream.

A few more questions? Do you walk or take a shuttle to the ship you are cruising on once you park your car?

I'm on the Port Canaveral website. How will we know what terminal we are departing from? We are sailing on the Dream in February

You'll walk across a roadway, or take a bridge, from the parking garage to the terminal itself. They are adjacent to each other.

The Dream will be sailing out of Disney's terminal. Just watch for the signs as you approach the port for the correct exit.

Thank you. That helps.

Disney is Cruise Terminal 8 according to the website CT8
