We are flying out of Manchester NH this trip for the first time. (we ususally use Hardford). How is the long term parking? Does it fill up? Any recommendations.

(we are going over spring break April 17-25.)

whoops, wrong code fixed to MHT

My husband and I always fly out of Manchester. There is a long term parking lot just down the street from the airport. Actually on the same street. It is at the Highlander Inn. It is $8/day. Not bad if you ask me. They will shuttle you to the airport and there is a special phone at the baggage pickup to call them to pick you up. They are very good. Never have had a problem. We did have a friend that parked in the actual garage and got his door smashed in. And that was for $14/day. So, not sure about the long term parking up near the airport(outdoors/not under cover), but you would have to drag your luggage if it was just you(otherwise drop off the other person with the luggage). Personally, I like the parking at the Highlander Inn.

Good luck!!

The 'C' and 'D' lots are $8/day and a shuttle will take you to the terminal. The garage has gone up to $15/day. It's really only worth it if you don't have the patience to wait for a shuttle or in the winter when a storm might get you buried in the satellite lots (don't laugh it happened to a friend of mine a few years back :p ).

I've never seen the lots overflowing, but I've never flown out over a school vacation period either.

I'm not sure, but I don't think that that is NH school vacation week, so the lot may not fill up as quickly. I realize people from a lot of other states do use MHT but, without the NH crew it shouldn't be quite as bad. I could of course be wrong about vaca week. The long term parking there really isn't too bad, and I believe there is a shuttle that will take you back to the lot from the airport. And yes this includes lot "C'' and "D". Just remember which lot you parked in, otherwise you'll be like my dad having the driver drive around at midnight to find your car. And the fees are about to rise (was on the news yesterday), but I don't know how much. Highly doubt it will be as much as Logan though.

We have used the Park&Ride at the Highlander Inn too. Van driver will direct you to the parking area you are to use. He leads the way in his van. You park your car and the van driver loads your luggage into the van. You are dropped off right at curbside check in for your airline. Van driver also gives you a location ticket for your car and the number to call from the courtesy phone when you arrive back at MHT.

Van picks you up right outside baggage claim area. They will tell you where to wait when you call for pick-up. Van driver will take you right to your car and help load luggage back into your car. I tip the van driver both drop off and pick-up.

I have used the Highlander the last three trips and have had great service each time.

Thanks for the info on the Highlander. I checked their website and it looks like they even have a AAA rate of $7 per day. Looks like a good deal to me.

Thanks!
now we just have to wait...
