I thought I read on another thread about parking issues at hrh...
Since we are going in the summer was wondering if anyone had any experience with the lot being over-crowded and what to do about it.
We will be driving and sort of had our hearts set on staying there but
if parking will be a major issue maybe we should choose another hotel.
We won't be driving every day but are planning to do some side trips-
space center, seaworld,etc...
Any advice???? Thanks!!!

Our only issue with parking at onsite hotels is that they charge you!! I think it was around $16. don't quote me though. I think it was around $2.00 more for valet parking. We felt it was worth it. Only waited about 5 mins for them to bring our car up. With 2 kids and luggage to tow we were happy to have the quick service.
The best part about staying on site is that your room key (card) gives everyone in your party unlimited express line privileges. You'll be glad you did it esp. with summer crowds!!

i received the email to confirm my ressie for hrh.

it states parking is $12 a night.
valet is more

The issue with parking at the HRH is the lot is over crowded, and they had an ant problem because the parking lot is surrounded by trees. One person parked their car in the HRH lot, left it for a few days, and on the day they checked out, there were ants in it.

There is an answer, park in the PBH garage. They have a concrete garage that's 3 stories. It's covered, and they have tons of spaces. Park on the 2nd level, there are no window stickers. Then take the shuttle van back to the HRH or walk, it's only 8 minutes from boat dock to boat dock.

At the exit of the PBH garage there is a gate, it's usually stuck in the up position. If it's down there is a box of keys right there you can try. If that doesn't work, you can go back to the valet window and tell them you need a pass to get out.
