I dont think there is a parking garage at the DLH. There is a very small main lot that is mostly reserved for the valet guys and shuttle vehicles, but sometimes has a few spots for guests, there is some parking on the top of the covention center section of the hotel (to the right if you are looking at the entrance) and there is a large lot past that where most hotel guests park (if you are looking at the entrance to the hotel it is on the right and way behind you). None of the parking is shaded. However, you can pull up to the front entrance, and one of the bellmen will load your luggage onto a luggage cart and then you can go park the car. You can check in and then call down and they will bring it up to you. Typical gratuity for a bellman is to pay the guy that brings the luggage up to the room, not the one that unloads the car, and it is $1/bag with a $5 minimum. This way you dont have to schlepp your stuff too far. We usually park the car and dont touch it again until we are leaving, so once your stuff is unloaded, this works great. Same deal on the way out, since I usually have the Bell staff hold our stuff, go check out and then enjoy another day at the parks, or shopping, or the pool and leave later in the day. Then I go get the car and pull up to the entrance and ask for our luggage then. Self parking is included in your resort fee.
