Parking at Disneyland

Would someone please explain the parking options at Disneyland and how it all works? Are there parking lot trams like at WDW Florida? We have 3 seniors in our party who would appreciate the least amount of walking possible. We also have a stroller, which I've carted on the trams at WDW.

Where will you be driving from -- north or south of DLR? If you will be driving from north of the parks, it will be easier to park in the Mickey & Friends parking structure (on Disneyland Dr., just south of Ball Rd.). This is a very large, multilevel parking structure. There is regular, handicap, and preferred parking (the non-handicap spots closest to the escalators/elevators). Parking is $25/day with in and out privileges. Preferred is $45/day (I think). M&F has its own bag check/security check point. Guests must go through bag check before boarding the free trams to DTD -- the drop off/loading area is a short walk to the ticket booths and the park gates (maybe 3-5 minutes).
If you will be driving from south of the parks, it will be easier to park at the Toy Story lot (on Harbor Blvd., south of Katella). Again, parking is $25/day with in and out privileges. There are free shuttle buses to the parks. You will go through bag check/security once you exit the buses at the Harbor entrance to the parks.
If you look on Google maps, all this will be easier to follow.
Is this a one day visit? For the least amount of walking to the parks, if there aren't any budget restrictions, I would probably go with M&F and pay for preferred parking to guarantee a spot close to the escalators/elevator. I don't know if TS has preferred parking by the shuttle stops.

We're staying SW of Disney (AirBNB near Westminster), so sounds like Toy Story Lot is the best option. This is a 5-day visit, so I'll go with the standard parking. What kind of shuttle buses are we talking about? I'm trying to get an idea of how I'm schlepping a stroller on them.

In your case, it might be faster and cheaper to take an Uber/Lift. If you're not at the park early, it can often take a long time to get in/out of DL parking.

There are 7 of us, so that would mean two Ubers each time. Not cost effective.

from Toy Story they are just like a regular city bus. loading zone is at the center of the parking lot. folded strollers can be carried on.

So if you are coming from Westminster, this is what I would do (one of my BFFs lives in Westminster and we stay with her and then drive to the parks). Get on the 91E, get off at Harbor Blvd, follow it until you hit the Toy Story lot (it will be on your right, right after Orangewood Ave). That is really the fastest way and the TS buses are like regular city buses and there are always families with strollers parking there and using them. We have parked at M&F before (rD races and that was the best option for that early) but it takes more time coming from that direction and is more of a hassle IMO than just going to the TS lot.
