Hi guys. So my DW, DD and I are heading down in November. My Sister and Brother in Law are staying on-property at All Star Movies Resort. We are staying off-property (but nearby) at Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. We are getting a rental car, and wanted to know if it was possible to drive to and park at ASM to visit my Sister and Brother in-law and take the Disney bus to the parks for the day? Is that allowed?

Curious to know the exact answer here too. I know anyone with park tickets is allowed to use Disney transportation. The question is the parking. I'm not sure you can park there and take their bus because as off site guests you are then appearing to avoid parking fees:confused3 Not saying that is what you are doing, as we had friends from Tampa visit us at our resort once, but I'm not sure where they draw the line. We all took the bus together, but went to GF for dinner, and I can tell you that the CMs that we asked told us it was no problem. But not sure about the parks, as they charge off site guests for parking.

It's been a few years but the last time we stayed at Movies they gave us a parking pass. We didn't have a car but when we had family visit us one night from Sarasota we just gave them our parking pass. They rode the bus with us to DTD for dinner. I would imagine your family could just give you their parking pass.

Where they draw the line depends on how crowded they expect things to be and it can vary day by day and resort by resort. (If you tell the guard you are just taking the bus to a park then he will turn you away immediately.)

Now they won't have a problem giving your inlaws staying there a parking pass for you to use for a day or two.

It won't be an issue. My ds drives over from Tampa when I head down to WDW. If I'm at BWVs I get a parking tag for him. Just get the parking tag they offer when you check in. It's pretty much a non-issue at the value resorts.
And yes, you are more than welcome to ride the bus together.

According to the Disney website:

Complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort—including transportation to and from Disney Theme Parks and Disney Water Parks—is available to Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

But then the FAQ's say this:

Q. I’m not staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Can I use the monorails, buses and boats to get around Walt Disney World Resort?

A. Yes. All Guests have complimentary access to our network of monorails, buses and boats. If you would like to visit multiple parks, enjoy a nice dinner at one of the Disney Resort hotels or shop at Downtown Disney Area, you can leave your car parked in the theme park lot and use our transportation network.

While there are many ways to get around Walt Disney World Resort, here are several recommended routes that may be convenient for Guests who are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, but wish to visit multiple parks:

Magic Kingdom park and Epcot are connected via monorail
Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are connected via boat
Magic Kingdom park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are connected via bus
Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park is connected to the 3 other theme parks via bus

So it sounds like you can go from park to park on the buses and to the resorts and back to the parks. But parking at a resort and using the bus system to avoid paying for parking is not intended.
