We are having character breakfast at ohanas at the Polynesia at 7.30am( we are staying in a villa off site and have a car )then we intend going to Magic Kingdom, wondered if anyone could advise were best to park and get to both areas as quick and easiest as possible :)

You should park at the ticket and transportation center, like you normally would to spend the day at MK. Then you can ride the resort monorail to the Poly. It's right next door so you may even could walk to the Poly, but I'm not sure.

After you eat, you can use the monorail there to go to the MK.

For roughly the same price you can valet park at the Poly and leave your car there all day. It may be a bit easier than parking at the TTC to get to the Poly but may take a bit longer on the way back from the MK. Actually I'm not sure how early they start to charge to park at the TTC might cost you nothing to park there. Either option should work out fine for you. Have fun

Parking at the TTC will cost you $14, you can valet park at the Poly for $15 plus a couple of dollars tip at drop off and pickup, and leave your car at the Poly for the day, you can then just hop on the monorail after breakfast to the MK.
Well worth the extra few bucks to not have to park at TTC and take the tram to the monorail, it could save you at lease a half hour in the morning and when leaving the MK at the end of your day. Simply take the resort monorail back to the Poly to retrieve your car.
When you get to the MK toll plaza, use the right hand lane and tell the attendant you are going to the Poly, they will wave you thru, proceed in the right hand lane to the first traffic light and turn left onto Seven Seas Dr, Poly entrance is less than a half mile on the right.

I would think with a 7:30 ADR you shuld be able to park pretty close and able to walk to the Poly (as long as physically ok). But I would probably just park at the Poly (unless hopping to Epcot) too.

thankyou, do you know whether a boat goes over to mk from polynesian

Yes, as others have stated, but if traveling with wheels (stroller, wheelchair, scooter) you will have to take some extra steps (or not use the boats at all).
I like taking the boat, but depending on timing the monorail may be faster (especialy from the Poly restaurants-such as 'Ohana-located in the GCH).

This! We've done this a couple of times ourselves.

It doesn't matter where you park in the TTC lot, it's still a long walk to the monorail or directly to the Poly, definitely not worth doing for $5 bucks.

I'll have to respectfully disagree on this. We've been there early enough to park near the "front" of the lot and to us, the walk to the Poly wasn't long at all.

May I please add my question to this thread? We are doing the same thing with a reservation at Chef Mickey's for breakfast...we plan on heading over to the Magic Kingdom afterwards. So, can we park our car at the Contemporary and come back to it later, rather than parking at the TTC and schlepping over to the Contemporary?

Not unless you pay to valet park at the Contemporary. If in the regular lot, you will have to move your car after breakfast.

Oh, that's great! So, essentially it's the same process as they were discussing above, at the Poly: I pay $15 (plus tips) for valet parking and can leave my car at the Contemporary all day, instead of transferring back and forth at TTC?

Yes.
