Parking and Magic Bands

I know that parking is now associated with Magic Bands.

We're staying on property and a friend from Tampa is joining us for breakfast at our resort and then we are taking two separate cars to Epcot.

I know my car will be given free parking based on my room reservation. If my husband rides with our friend can his band also get free parking, or does the system recognize two cars and stop the second one from coming in??

There are still (some?) resorts handing out paper parking passes. If you have one of those, the parks just wave you through.

Wife and I stayed at Caribbean Beach this past April (2016) and they gave me a paper parking pass to put on the dashboard. Every park just waved me through after simply glancing at the pass. Only time I used a magic band for parking was entry to my resort (Caribbean Beach) as well as security scanning it when driving into another resort for meals, visiting, etc...
