I have reserved an ECV from Randy's for my December trip. I will be close to finishing my secondary chemo when I go, so I am renting it for me due to the tiredness from the chemo. I am able to walk and don't have mobility problems so I won't need to take the scooter all the way to the ride itself unless the lines are long. How will they deal with the scooter on rides like Tower of Terror and Rockn Roller Coaster where you get off the ride in a seperate area from the boarding area. I know on Peter Pan and IASW I can get off the scooter and get in the ride and the scooter will be in the general area where I boarded. I have looked at the ride listing on the WDW site, but it isn't clear on things like this.

TIA

For attractions where the boarding area and the unloading area are in different places or if the boarding area is not accessible, if you bring an ECV or wheelchair into line with you, they will pull you out of line (usually pretty close to where other guests will be entering the boarding area). At that point, the wheelchair and ECV users are shunted off to the exit and will board there. When you get off, the wheelchair or ECV will be waiting at the exit (where you boarded) for you.
If you don't want to bring the ECV into line, ask the CM at the entrance how long the distance you need to walk in the line is and where the exit comes out compared to where you go in. That way, you have the oportunity to park the ECV somewhere maybe halfway between the entance and exit. In some cases the distance to walk is quite long from where you enter the line to the boarding area, even if the wait is very short, so for those attractions, you may want to consider bringing the ECV with you (examples are the Safari and Bug's Life at AK).

If you go to the disABILITIES FAQs thread located near the top of this board, there is a link to a past thread about boarding rides that might be helpful to you.
