I was just looking at Deb's site, and noticed that for PH+'s, the Disney Club advance purchase prices are slightly lower than the SoG Military prices. Can that be right?

On our last trip, FIL gave us our PHs as a Christmas gift, and got them with the DoD/Military Discount, which was significantly better than the Disney Club discount, in large part because he did not have to pay the Florida tax. Could Deb's site be wrong -- maybe including the tax when it shouldn't? (At the top of the page, it says the prices include the 6% tax.) Or could the advance purchase Disney Club price really be a better price??

Does anyone have any info about this? Also, is there a difference in the military pricing between PHs bought at SoG vs. bought at another location? (FIL bought them at NSA.)

TIA for any info you may have on this question!

Stampmom,

We've been buying tickets via DW's military ID for years. Note, we are civilian (DW is with Army Corps, which gives her a DoD ID). I've never, ever thought the pricing was significantly better than anything, depending on how you define significantly. We've always found a little savings up to the five day +. But I've never compared against DC prices. I can confirm that the prices on Deb's site are the same as current SOG pricing. The chances of Deb's site being wrong are Slim and None, and Slim's probably on vacation.

The only thing I can think of is you FIL may have pricing as active military? Perhaps the tix were purchased at a base? Regardless, the pricing at SOG has always been a little better than list, always a couple bucks behind DC. We've actually gone elsewhere for tickets, always remembering to check SOG to see if they have any great pricing at the moment.

Keep in mind that military/SOG tickets are not subject to the sales tax that the other sources must tack on. So even if the ticket price is the same, the SOG bottom line price will usually be better.
