So I am going in March and was wondering what you all thought about the Park Vue Inn... I think it's awesome cause it's literally right across the street and I don't have to worry about a stroller on the bus... what do you guys think? Ask the experts right? Also I've check all the discount hotel prices and it's the same as if I just booked through their site... do you think if I called and ask for a discount they would do it or work with me on it? Or is it a waste of time.

Thanks!!
Emily

A friend of mine stayed there in March of this year. She said it was just ok. She said it reminded her, and I quote, "of ghetto apartments -- you know the kind where you have to park in front?" That's what she said.

We stayed there last April. It's basic, but they've recently renovated, so it's better than it USED to be.

The management was WONDERFUL and helpful, and we did manage to get a discount after booking by calling directly.

There's a Coldstone Creamery attached to the front of the hotel, and they give you a discount coupon with your room. :yummy:

I thought it was an acceptable place to stay--nothing fancy, but not icky, by any means. The location can't be beat and the service was good.

We often stay at the Park Vue. We really likethe convenience of their free breakfast. It is not fancy but it fills us up so we can get over to the parks quickly with a decent,no hassle breakfast in our tummies. I would call them directly,we always get the best price that way. I always ask for ground floor, that way I can just roll the stroller right in to the room and not have to unpack and collaspe it every night.

You picked a good hotel that we've stayed at. Location, location, location! It's a great location and is clean, comfortable, easy parking and reasonably priced. I like to stay right on Harbor across from the main gates and just use the place to sleep, so don't mind there is not a lot of fancy ambiance and amentities. The convienience is well worth it. rooms were fine and staff was nice.

Don't feel the need to stay "on-property" at a Disney owned hotel when in Anaheim. The cost seems high for what you get. Now Walt Disney World is a whole 'nother ball game. We stayed on property there (Port Orleans hotel) and the perks, transportation, ambiance, etc. were definitely well worth it!

We stayed there last September, as everyone has mentioned the location cannot be beat. Someone said they request a ground room floor but I'd request a 2nd floor room as it seems that the lower floor might be noisy. Also, if you're a light sleeper and don't mind walking a bit further, request a room at the back end as there will be less traffic, especially in the morning when everyone goes for breakfast. The breakfast is awesome for a free continental. If you have small kids that want to swim you may want to avoid this place, it has a small pool with no shallow end.
I'd stay there again when our son is a bit older and could use the pool. We are headed to DL in a month and staying at HoJo.

Thanks everyone...
So I ended up doing some googling last night and got an awesome deal at Anahiem Plaza Hotel... it's still a nice 10 minute walk to the front gate and I got it for $59 a night, that was just an awesome deal for 3 nights. All the other site were telling $89 a night. And like you all said I'll only be using to sleep! I really just wanted the convience of the short walk to the enterance. So booked and done!

When it's me and my husband we've just picked the cheapest hotel walk a lot... but now I'm going with a 2 year old and my mother... they want to be close for naps! hehe!!

Anyone stay in one of the king Jacuzzi rooms? I'm wondering if its really a big deal. Planning a 10th anniversary trip for DW and me.

I don't quite see this as an anniversary-type hotel. Any chance you could swing one of the Disney ones for this trip??? Or even one of the Sheratons?

Parkvue inn the best place to stay in my opinion great rates , good breakfast and so close to the park entrance rooms are clean I didnt find them ghetto.... As for the Jacuzzi king room its Nice and well done inside you can fit two above average adults in the Jacuzzi no problem The room is bigger then the normal so I hope helps you out

Can anyone elaborate more on their continental breakfast?

From what I remember, there is usually 2 or 3 cold cereals with, I think, whole and skim milk. Fresh fruits and yogurt. Breads and waffles for the toasters. Instant oatmeal in a variety of flavors. Danish's and/or donuts. Juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. There may be more, but I only remember what my family eats! There is always someone in there bringing out stuff as they run out. There are tables indoor as well as outdoor. I find it very quick, easy, and filling- a perfect start to a great day.

We are staying there in December so I emailed them and this is what they sent back to me:

"Our continental breakfast consists of fruits, donuts, muffins, waffles, bagles, toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at any time. We will be more than happy to assist you."
