Do you do it?

We depart valentines day and I would really like to visit magic kingdom on valentines day. The crowd calendar is a 7 and not recommended by easyWDW but I have read about Disney limited magic and doing something for valentines day. I really don't want to miss it. Am I crazy? Should I just keep to our DTD plans? I only want to pop in for what ever they have arranged as we will have done everything else we wanted to do in the park during the holiday.

We do it but leave later in the day. What time is your flight? You driving?

Our flight is 18.45. We will be getting ME I'm guessing they will have us getting on he 14.30 bus.

The valentines limted time things is all week so i have read so not sure anything specific on valentines day

We have done a park on leaving day before but we drive so dont leave till around four

we were there on Valentines Day this year, it wasn't crazy busy (it was the Wednesday before Presidents Day weekend) but was more busy that the other days that week.

We have gone into a park on our last day for the last couple of visits. This year and last we went into Magic Kingdom ... this year it was the Saturday of Presidents Day weekend, and it was really busy, but we still managed to ride Buzz Lightyear (Fastpassed it and rode People Mover and Carousel of Progress while we waited), eat at Columbia Harbour House, did some last minute shopping, and watched the parade before we headed for the airport. We checked in at DTD first so didn't make it to the park till after 10.30 am and we grabbed breakfast in the Main St Bakery first ... it was a lovely day.

The previous year we met up with friends who had arrived the night before - did BTM, Flying Carpets, Space Mountain twice, Buzz and had lunch at Tony's before heading off. I'd strongly recommend going into park if you have the time - we've also done Epcot on the last day and had a great time ... left for the airport around 2.30 pm

We always go to a park the day we leave, normally it's EPCOT as that's my favorite. We drive so usually leave between 2pm and 4pm depending on our flight times but there is definitely time for rides and lunch

We never used to go into a park on our last day. We used to head to DTD for the day but found, once we'd finished shopping and had lunch, we were spending a couple of hours hanging around, then leaving for the airport too early and hanging around the airport, bored. For the last few years we have always gone to a park on our last day at WDW, before leaving for the airport late afternoon and having a last meal at Friendlys on I-Drive on the way (something of a tradition now).

If you are being picked up by ME at 2.30, the only thing I would say is that you mgiht find it all a bit of a rush but better that than hanging around the resort just waiting to be picked up :thumbsup2

We usually drop the cases at DTD as early as possible (Virgin) then go to DHS to ride RnR, then to MK to do Pirates...it's tradition now!! We drive and usually leave the park at about 2:00pm for the 6:00pm flight home (book seats online the night before - although we have had problems with the baggage check people telling us that the seats are already booked - they don't get that they're booked BY US!!!)

We quite often go to the park on departure day, we usually go on the later flight so dont usually leave until around 5pm.

A few years ago we had a delay until 11pm and we stayed at the park for wishes at 9pm! needless to say it was a little rushed to get to the airport.

Our flight is almost the same time as yours and we are planning to go to MK too, unless the Disney Junior Live show re-opens on time in which case we'll be at HS instead

I am hoping we will get up drop the cases off at virgin and get the bus to the contemporary and walk MK just visit for the valentines special events rumoured princes with princesses and leave. We have a ADR for Trex hoping to keep it.

If valentines events are available before we won't go. But I think the valentines week will start valentines day as mardi gras is the day before and I have read that there is a tiana river boat show for a limited time so guess there will be a mardi gras week.

oh my, I'm a bit of a worry wart, so I'd be freaked still being in the park then!

op- to us it all depends on flight time.anything 2pm or earlier-it's a no,later on then yes- go to dhs or epcot, but not mk, due to longer exit time.:goodvibes

Yep, always visit MK on our last day with a lunch ADR.

Watch the afternoon parade at least before heading to the airport.

We do OLCI the night before and drive to the airport - get to the airport about 2 hours before the flight (most times the VS15 back to Gatwick)

I have heard it opens on the 15th with doc and Sofia gutted we miss it by a day. DD loves doc x

If we are on a late flight (evening) rather than an indirect earlier (afternoon) flight then we have been in parks the odd time but we prefer to pack in the morning, have lunch, last bit of shopping then airport. Just our choice but parks can be done no problem.

That's what we do normally. So the park visiting is unknown territory to us.

We always go to MK on our departure day, get there for opening and stay until 1ish. We have a tradition of Crystal Palace breakfast on our last day, 8am if normal opening, 10.30 if EMH. We jump on some rides and collect fast passes for others, generally do Big Thunder, Pirates and Peter Pan(my fave). Go for it!

We normally get up early leave the bags with bell services and head to a park. We normally get on which ever bus comes to the stop first. We have managed EPCOT, MK and DHS on our last day bit of a rush but it was worth it.
we aim to leave the park to be back at the resort min 1 hour before our ME pick up gives us time to get any last min shopping into the bags.

We did it. But we were at BLT last trip so was an easy walk.

As long as you're all packed up and happy to check out though I'd say a couple of hours in a park is a lovely way to spend your last morning/lunchtime.
