Park to park transportation

To catch a bus from MK to MGM, I have to go to the TTC, correct?

Also, can I catch a bus directly to MGM from AK?

MK is the only theme park in which you'll need to use the TTC for park to park buses. (Resort buses go to the park itself)

All other theme parks are direct.

Yes, you have to catch a bus at TTC if you want to go from MK to MGM. However, you can catch a bus directly from AK to MGM.
