OK, I'm really trying to figure this all out, and I realize that I need two evenings for MGM. To get a better grip on this, do we know what the hours for the parks will be yet?

Here's my delema. One night (Thurs) for Fantasmic Party and TOT. Doing both of them in one evening will not give me time for the lights. I HAVE to do the lights, so I thought I might do them on Frid evening, but then I miss out on the nightly parade at Magic Kingdom. I am doing the MVMCP on Sunday evening, would I miss too much if we just wait and do Magic Kingdom parade and fireworks then?

Others' opinions accepted!
Gerri

PS, Sorry for all the questions, it's just the commando in me coming out :)

BTW, if I do the lights at MGM on Friday, I'll also volunteer to do the Pin Trading at the Backlot as well. It is from 5:00 till? Perhaps it would be finished in time to go caroling with the other Lights mini Meet.

Last year MGM closed at 7:00 weekdays during the holiday season.

I don't recall a nighttime parade at the MK - since it also closes at 7:00. It will close at 5:00 on the 29th and 30th for MVMCP.

I have a dilema which can also be solved by knowing the park hours for December.

If the MK closes early on Thursday the 29th, then I want to do the CLP Dinner package this night.

If the MK closes early on Monday the 3rd, then I want to do the CLP Dinner package this night.

If the MK closes later on Monday the 3rd, then I DEFINITELY want to do the CLP Dinner package on Thursday night~~so we can say 'good-bye' to WDW in the MK. :) :) :)

Since MVMCP is on Sunday night (Dec. 2nd), I'm assuming the MK will close at its usual time of 7:00 on Monday, 12/3.

A neat thing to do is stay until the MK closes on Dec. 3rd. Then take the monorails to the TTC and Epcot. I love the monorail ride to Epcot - especially at night. Viewing Illuminations at 9:30 would be a great way to end your trip!

I see no problem logistically to doing the Lights, FDP, and TOT all on thursday night.

I think they are pretty well coordinated if you do the lights at 5:30, then when it is time to move on to the dessert party at 6:30, and finally on to the tower of terror after fantasmic

Let me know if you don't think this is possible,

OK Pat. How long does it take to see the lights? Will the Mini Meet be strolling pretty fast thru them? I imagine myself strolling at a nice comfortable pace. Not rushed or hurried. I LOVE Christmas decorations and that will be one of my favorite things at WDW I bet.

I'm worried about whether I'd be able to keep up with everyone, and I don't want top rent a wheelchair unless just absolutely nessisary. What do you think. What type of pace will your meet be traveling?

I see no reason why it should take more than an hour, does anyone else think it will take longer than that?

But there is no rush, so what if we miss a few minutes of FDP they won't run out of food for us :)

I don't think so, Pat. I took a very leisurely stroll through the lights last year and think it took around 45-50 minutes.

I said it shouldn't take more then an hour :D

We stopped and took pictures and everything and took less than an hour last year

But we will definately have to start at 5:30 to make the FDP because it is about a 10 minute walk from there to the fantasmic area

Dan! Don't scare me like this! First the little typo error that about sent me over the edge!~~and now all of those QUESTION MARKS! :earseek:

1. Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la, la la la la.
'Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la, la la la la.
Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la la, la la la la.
Troll the ancient Yuletide carol,
Fa la la la, la la la la.

2. See the blazing yule before us,
Fa la la la, la la la la.
Stike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la, la la la la.
Follow me in merry measure,
Fa la la la, la la la la.
While I tell of Yuletide treasure,
Fa la la la, la la la la. 3. Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la, la la la la.
Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la, la la la la.

Now that the November park hours are up (thanks, Smee!) - the MK closes at 6:00 on the nights of MVMCP, and at 7:00 on other days. Spectromagic is only on Wednesday, Nov. 28th at 7:15 - right smack dab in the middle of the DIS-Con reception! MGM closes at 7:00, Epcot at 9:30, and AK at 5:00.
