Park sleep fly recommendation for SpringHill Suites in detroit

We just got back from WDW and before our flights we stayed at the Marriot Springhill Suites in Detroit(Romulus) right next to the airport. For $89 (weekend rate) we got a wonderful room - I mean exceptional suite, a good continental breakfast and 8 days of parking at the airlines parking lot across the road from the hotel. My only complaint was that the pool sucks. Very tiny and the room echos. The noise from the kids playing in the pool was unbearable to sit through.

If you are looking for a park-sleep-fly option for Detroit, I highly recommend this one. Skip the pool.

Thanks for posting! We are looking for a Detroit hotel and were hoping to hear from someone on the boards!
We stayed at the Days Inn Romulus last month before our trip based on a recommendation from a family member. OMG it was horrible. Papaer thin mattress, mouldy smell from the first roo, we got, horrible breakfast. Oh it was a terrible way to start our trip. So thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the review. We just stayed at the Fairfield Inn there last weekend and it was okay-new and clean, not overly well soundproofed, though. The pool was the same as you describe. I will keep Spring Hill Suites in mind.

I stayed there quite a few nights this summer. The walls are paper thin, but the hotel is gorgeous. The pool is not huge by any means but it suited our kids.
We were there on the grand opening night and I won some stuff. The food they put out was great. Their breakfast is well stocked as well.
