We will be staying at the HRH for 3 nights at the end of the month and I was wondering which restaruants or counter services you would recommend at both US & IOA. We will be eating all meals at the parks or at HRH.

My absolute favorite is MYTHOS in IOA. Great atmosphere and service and fantastic food.
We also had a couple very good lunches at Lombard's Landing in US.
We enjoy the Latin Quarter and Hard Rock Cafe at CityWalk.

Mythos (IOA)!: Delicous sit-down, you'll want to plan some extra time for this meal.

Confisco's (IOA): sit down at little more than counter prices, more casual than Mythos.

Thundering Falls Terrace (IOA): counter but has a nice outdoor patio where you can watch people at the end of the JP ride.

HRC: a bit loud inside but good food/resonable $.

Margaritaville: Huge nachos, good veggie burgers, excellent mango margaritas. Always our first stop for food on arrival day!

Richter's burgers: (Universal) decent burgers w/fixins bar, vgood veggies burgers, excellent fresh fruit cup; nice patio on the water.

Finnegans at US is very good. In fact it is the only US restaurant I will eat at. At IOA as the others have said Mythos is wonderful.

At city walk we enjoy Margaritaville and (OH boy brain not working) the Italian place. NBA city is very good too.

AT HRH the plam is great but expensive. The Sunset grill is good for breakfast. We never tried it for lunch.
If you are there when they are showing the dive in movies the food they serve by the pool is wonderful. I believe you can order from that same menu during lunch hours at the pool but Dinner is only served on movie nights. It is typical fast food but very good. Pizza, burgers, chichen tenders, onion rings etc.

Just an FYI Thunderfalls last day of operation for a while will be 8-10-02.

Thank you for your replies. We'll definitely have to try these places.
Why is Thundering Falls last day 8-10? Does anyone know if this is permanent or temporary.

I've added two favs on my list...Lombardo Landing (I had the grilled grouper served over veggies...so good! and my husband and son had the lobster...) This was our last meal in Florida--we picked a good one thanks to my fellow DIS'ers. And finally, the Island Dining Room. It may be expensive, but they have certainly found one or more of the best chefs in the region. (Chicken noodle was my fav). :D
