Park reservations for MNSSHP?

I was looking at an educator website for purchasing tickets to MNSSHP. I know I'd have to link these tickets to my MDE account, but the website also says to make a park reservation for that day. Do I need to make reservation for MK for that day, even though we won't be entering the park until around 4pm, which is when party-goers are allowed in?
