We are doing a 10 day vacation in September of 2014 at the wilderness. We plan to go to universal two days and have dining reservations at several other resorts. So we plan to rent a car for at least part of our trip.

So here is my question - if you are staying on-site do you still have to pay for parking each day at the parks?

No

Not at WDW.

If you're staying onsite at Universal, though, there's a hotel parking fee. And you wouldn't want to move your car to the themepark lot b/c you'd pay again and not be any closer. (if you're driving from WDW to Universal there will be a themepark lot fee unless you have a Preferred or Premium Universal AP that has been activated at the parks already)

You only have to pay at the NON-Disney parks. The parking fee at Universal is 15.00 and the same for Sea World, should you decide to go there.

Parking at Disney resorts is free but the Swan & Dolphin charge (not Disney owned).
