Park lots at the Value Resorts

I'm considering staying at a value resort for 1 night before our stay at the villas. We're renting a car. My question is, do the parking lots at these resorts go all around the resort or is it just out in front? Reason being, if we just got a standard room vs. preferred room, would we be able to park close to our room or no? :confused3 Does it make sense just to pay for a preferred room? Thanks!

Unless you want to be right next to the main pool and the main building, it makes no sense to pay the preferred price. The lots are all over the complex. Some walks are longer than others, but they are not too bad.

This might be better posted on the Disney Resorts board but I'll to answer here.

I believe most of the value and moderate resorts have "nearby" parking for most of their buildings, regardless of Standard vs. Preferred. Here is a map to the Pop Century resort that was posted by Tyler on the Pop FAQ thread.

At Pop Century, the preferred buildings are in the 60s. However, there is also parking identified for the 50s, 90s, and 70/80s as well.

Thanks for the map! I was going to put it on the Disney Resorts boards, but didn't know which was more appropriate so I thought I'd start it here. ;) But you guys answered exactly what I wanted to know, thank you!!!!!!! It looks fine if we were to get any building, the walk doesn't look too far. Plus, we're only staying for 1 night so don't know if we'd even use the pool. Thanks again!!!!!

As others have said, some are closer, some are farther. At POP for instance, your best bet is probably the 50's buildings - which are going to be closer to the parking lot than the preferred 60's.
