Well, I have never seen the park like this…and I’m guessing the majority are tourists. Lots of family reunions, “Yes, let’s all go to Disney in matching shirts”—said no man ever”, my fave tee) , tons of grandparents with kids, everyone walking around with a map, trying to figure where to go next.

I prolly wouldn’t have come if Dr. Strange wasn’t getting the boot but I did have a very special moment with him last night. I was in front row, with my Dr Strange shirt, bag, and ears. The gal next to me guessed it would be Thor , and said so with a heavy sigh. Well, DR. Strange worked that into the show and told Thor to go shake her hand before he left. He played that for all it was worth. At the end, he made another reference to her devotion to Thor and then looked at me, and said “ Well, at least she has better taste” and came over and shook my hand, thanked me for coming. MADE THE TRIP!

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why they are getting rid of the show…I’ve gone five times since I got here and every show has been packed and well received.

Last night was the last Pride Night at DL so CA was the most crowded I’ve ever seen it. Wall to wall people and you know it’s usually pretty casual, especially at night. The line for RSR was still at over an hour when they closed it off at park close.

Watched the SH-Boom thing for first time…that was unimpressive IMHO.

Bought the Eye of Agamoto Pandora charm, cause I’ve never seen it on eBay.

Did the dessert party Wednesday night, had my own table. Couldn’t eat a thing on the plate except the Bundt cake and had a cup of tea. Great view but it’s a one and done for me…I mean, it was a good show but really wasn’t that impressive, again, just my opinion.

Fireworks at SWGE tonight, the. Fantasmic tomorrow.

Glad I came cuz I’ve had some great visits with Loki, Star-Lord and of course, Dr. Strange.

Met a charming family on the CCI shuttle last night…Grandma was from Canada, daughter and grandkids from Australia. All the grandkids had been to Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boo and looked so pretty and theDGS was dressed like Prince Charming and was so handsome. The children were all so polite and well mannered. Lovely family.

OK, NAP TIME 💤 .

Glad you enjoyed yourself despite the crowds. Avengers Campus is my adult daughters favourite spot. We are both really worried about how the reduction in entertainment is going to hit this land. When we were there last time it was the whole vibe of the area with everything going on that really made it a special place. With that gone I feel it will lose so much. The Doctor Strange show is my daughters favourite (he's also her favourite character, she loves Benadict). We saw it at night and it was great. Luckily she videoed it so she will always have that memory but we are sad it is going away. We are visiting again the first week of December this year and my adult son who is accompanying us for the first time. I really hope they restore the entertainment for the holiday season as I really want him to experience the land as it was designed to be experienced.

Wow, what a wonderful interaction with Dr. Strange! How was Loki? He's my favorite :)

That's great you had your own table for WOC. Was it "ONE" or the original show? I like the original so much better.

Hopefully the crowds get better.

Have fun!

Yeah, both USH and Disneyland seem to be packed because of the summer deals

Last year we went and the weather was also not as hot and less crowds...looks like nice summer are sadly over

Loki was great…last trip I had shown him the Marvel book sold at the park and pointed out there was no Loki page! But I said, if you’ll sign here….I’ll make you a page. We joked and shot a bunch of photos of him posing. On Wednesday night, I took it with me and he was in his usual spot so I showed him what I had done…he thought it was a hoot! He has such good personality, I just stand and watch him interact people sometimes. Hope they don’t lose him…

Oh, and yesterday when I went to dance with Star-Lord, I waited by where he comes out. I just wanted to get a couple of good photos for my book. He looked right at me, recognizing me and said, “oh hi again” with big smile. But he doesn’t sign so I guess my book won’t ever be truly complete.

Having a blast…eating my Subway Sammie and tonight back to both parks.

PS-it was “One”…yes, I actually liked the original waaaaayyyyy back when. Hope I don’t feel like that tomorrow night after Fantasmic…

Much better this evening…CA back to normal and DL is packed. 🤣

However rides hav3 been up and down all day at both. Both RSR and WS were down when I left tonight but I was on sensory overload and it was time to go.

That is SO amazing!! Thanks for sharing the cool picture. You both look like you're having a blast :)

I've seen Loki a few times and he had a great interaction with my dd once.

Hi Tinkaboo,
I think it's wonderful that you got to meet Dr. Strange during your trip and glad you got to see his show. Dr. Strange is one of my crushes and I just love him so much. If you ever see him again please tell him that your friend Dodger loves him and give him a big hug from me

@Tinkaboo Thanks for this info. Glad you were able to enjoy the shows. Are you visiting mid-week, too? I ask because I'm still trying to guess how crowded the parks will be-- weekend vs. weekday, etc.

We went during spring break and got taken aback that it seemed busier during the weekdays than the weekend.

@Tinkaboo Thanks for the report. My flight is in just a few hours. The crowd reports are scaring me! LOL We are excited to FINALLY see DLR. I popped in to the DIS for any last minute advice.

Get Genie+ and use modify. We were there 2 weeks ago and while the crowds seemed heavy compared to our early March visit, with LLs and modifying we still got a TON done. Did all the LL rides (except for Matterhorn that we purposely skipped), plus most of the dark rides, railroad, tiki room, storybook boats, POTC 3 times, etc. etc. So don't let the crowds scare you! Oh, and the weekend is now the best time to go it would seem, so try for that if you can. Was worse during weekdays compared to weekend which I presume is due to AP blockouts and the special ticket deals.

Thank you! Our first park day is tomorrow and Sunday seems to be great. We do have G+. So we will run around DL tomorrow and squeeze in all the fun we can. We will try to be chill on the more crowded Monday and Tuesday.

SB lines seem to be the worst…I still think many people don’t know about Genie+ and really don’t do much research before they come. There seem to be a lot of people just aimlessly wandering….”oh, what’s this” types. I know…it’s hard for us to believe but these are one-timer summer tourists for sure. I’m taking it easy today…actually, I just woke up! Going to start my packing, maybe not even go to park til late afternoon. I have 2nd show Fantasmic seating and then 7am flight home so, yeah, another short night.

And on a completely different note…GO OILERS!!!!!

We are here now too. First park day was Wednesday is CA and then yesterday and today in DLP. We actually have thought the crowds aren’t bad at all and wait times, especially when you have Genie+, have been very manageable. (Without Genie+ I would likely have a different impression) It isn’t like it used to be in terms of low crowds, but it’s been years and years since we’ve experienced that. These past couple days have not been the wall to wall crowds through the ROA area that can happen when it’s busy. We will see what today brings! (Letting the teens sleep in this morning as we will be seeing the second show of F! tonight and hopefully staying until midnight.)

We went to the parks last night and I also thought it was VERY crowded. I agree that it seemed to be a lot of out of town visitors as well as people who came for the Pride events and spent extra day(s) in the park. I don't think that happens as much with other themed nights (other than OBB).

It also felt like there were more ECVs. Maybe it was because people were not experienced driving them or that groups were stopped in the middle of the walkway trying to figure out what to do. It felt like we were dodging them all night. One woman tried to drive her ECV against the flow of traffic after Fantasmic. It was dark and she was low down so people couldn't see her. :scared1:

This was the walkway from Frontierland to SWGE around 8 pm last night. These were not people trying to get to Fantasmic. They were meandering trying find what to do next.

I wanted to try the salad at Pyms, so we went there first. After eating, we walked through Adventures Campus. There were a ton of characters out which happens when the parks are busy. We saw Thor, Loki, Shang-Chi and Dr. Strange. Some had PhotoPass lines. Others were just wandering to interact with the guests.

We went to SWGE for fireworks last night. I was looking for you but, sadly, didn't find you. I hope you found a good viewing spot. :darth:

Well, I was there at AC but didn’t stay as it was a different Loki and a different star-Lord and a different Dr, Strange ( yeah, I’m really picky about my pretend avengers). I just got Spidey to sign my book and a photo and I beat it out of there. Back at CCI packing and resting for tonight. I’m going to try and do the 6:30 parade at IASW, fireworks at SWGE then late Fantasmic. I did end up buying Genie+ in case I want to do rides later. Nice CM at Jungle Cruise gave me a return time since I can’t do stairs, even though noDAS. Sweet girl. Rode WS this morning at CA, did some shopping (TOO MUCH!) but I found a really cool Poohhoodie at the shop by grizzly Run. Never been in there so glad I went! It is blue striped with APPLIQUÉD Poohs on the front AND back. $58 with discount. Very heavy, too.

BTW, I thought crowds were better this morning but was getting crowded when I left. Not as bad as Thursday though.

Little sad as I always am on last day but have made a lot of great memories this trip.😊

DW and our niece were there Thursday as well. We’ve been a few times to DL/CA and those crowds felt like Disney World level crowds, well maybe not, but kinda sorta close!

We only had a day as a last minute add to our LA trip so with Genie+ (and the modify trick) we did everything we wanted to and rode a few things twice. All in all a great day, even with the crowds.

Funny, we are here now and don't find it crowded! Did a full day hopping yesterday and did DL today and heading back to both shortly after an afternoon rest. Did rope drop and EE both days, so maybe that’s why?! We also usually come in December and March and find those times a lot busier. Enjoy!

Have a great time and don't worry about the crowds. I've been there on some ridiculously busy days, but if you rope drop and/or stay late and use Genie+ you'll do just fine.
