Park hours

How long after the actual closing time do they start to herd you out? I don't think I've ever stayed at any WDW park until the last minute but with the shortened hours and older childen I'd really like to make the most of the time.

I don't know for sure for all parks, but we've lingered at EPCOT after Illuminations and one night after the fireworks at MK we went straight to SM and rode twice without getting off and then rode BTMRR twice!! It was great. We were literally the only ones in that part of the park!!

I often take my time. I love to stay for the Kiss Goodnight at MK, and that can be 45 minutes to an hour after 'closing'. I have lingered there for maybe 90 minutes some evenings. Same at Epcot. I like to soak in in after Illuminations, walking slowly, taking some pictures, listening to the music. One time I entered MGM, AT closing time, to head over for a quick walk through Osbornes. I am sure I was in the park for an hour after closing there too.
