How likely is it that Park hours will be the same on January 20th, as they are listed for January 10th? not knowing the park hours is seriously disturbing my planning joy!!! :sad2:

jan hours
On this note - The calendar is up through the 25th but I see that Magic Kingdom closes at 4:30???!!! How likely is that to be true? If so I'll need to rearrange my reservations.

I just got a notification about this as well. I don’t get angry at Disney often, but this would really torque me off.

There are days when a park closes early for a private event. These events are not publicized other than the earlier park closing time.

Well that stinks. Guess I'll try to change my res. Glad I haven't made adr's yet. (not able to) This means no fireworks that night?

I saw that this morning and thought 'Glad I'm going the 24th' lol
I switched my reservation for Tues / Thursday. It's possible we won't stay all day anyway but I'd like 2 opportunities for fireworks and evening in case it rains or we are tired or want to make ADRs for late. (8 day tickets.)

No, no fireworks but, if it's not your only day at MK I can see it being a great day to go! We used to go to MK on party days and traditionally found the crowds to be much lower when the parks closed early to day guests. Judging just by the people here who are switching plans, a 4:30 closing day might be a great day to go to MK, especially if you have a hopper and can head elsewhere after 4:30. Either way though, as a second MK day I would recommend it.

That’s what I’m thinking! I currently have Epcot as our reservation, but I might switch that and make it MK!

Well I thought about that but you can't buy hopper tickets for just 1 day can you? I don't want to purchase for 8 days.

If your tickets are multi-day tickets and/or part of a package, you're right: it's all or nothing for the Hoppers. BUT adding Hoppers to single-day tickets is like $69, and adding them to 8-day tickets is like $92. So you're talking a difference of about $23 to get Hoppers for all of your park days.

That is a good thought about crowds. That seems like the reverse of avoiding the park that used to have one-hour early entry.
We already have park hoppers. We don't arrive until after that day but I'll keep an eye out for the next release which should include my days.

The 24th would be a great day to go to MK and then have dinner at a resort or Disney Springs. The crowds will almost certainly low because most of Them will be avoiding the "short" day.

It's still an 8 theme park hour day if you have early entry, which at least for me is plenty.
