how would one go from mgm to ak? disney transportation or personal car?

How long would it take someone to do the 4 main attractions at AK: Safari, Dinosaur, TTBAB, & Lion King? I want to go Sat. afternoon, but knowing the park closes at 5pm, what would be the latest to begin touring>

It would depend on when you plan to go. If you are going Christmas week, you may need all day. If you are going the next week, you might be able to do them all in a couple of hours. It kind of depends on what times the shows are held.

If you don't want to drive yourself, I would take the bus to the AKL, then switch buses to the AK bus.

There are direct busses from MGM to AK, so you wouldn't have to switch at AKL.
