Park hopping question

We'll be at Disney from March 24-30. I wasn't able to book any park on Monday. Will I still be able to enter a park if it's open as park hopping after 2:00pm. even though I didn't enter any park earlier.

Nope. Not how hopping works.

My understanding is that this won't work. In order to park hop, you must have a park pass reservation and enter that park first prior to entering another park after 2:00.

As others have said, the only way to enter the first park of a day is with a park reservation.

Sounds like a good day to hit the pool/Disney Springs/Universal.

Nope because you need to already have a park reservation for the day and have visited your first park prior to hopping. This might be a good day to chill at the pool, water park, or mini golf.

You might also keep trying to get reservations for a park that day. We had a day we couldn't reserve a couple of weeks ago... just kept looking, and was able to find an open reservation that morning for one, so grabbed it. Went there for a bit, then hopped.

You can hop at 2:00, as long as you tapped into your reserved park at some time that day. You don’t have to go directly from first park to second park.
