Park Hopping and then Hopping to a Show

So, I booked a ROL package yesterday for a late breakfast at AK on what is supposedly an EMH day (which I now realize could change at any time). We will be hopping (husband, kiddos, and me), but I wondered what you all thought about getting there at RD for EMH, doing our top attractions, having late breakfast, then heading to Epcot to use our FP, and then returning for ROL. I know that avatar will be at AK when we are there, but we can hop there another day if we really want to see it and use a FP on it. Just curious what you think about hopping not once, but twice between parks.

Also, I am not completely, 100% sold on seeing ROL nor eating at TH (I would really rather eat at Boma or Sanaa), so I am not wedded to this idea!

Thanks for any insight if you have done this.

Figure that it will take 40-60 of time per hop.

If that fits your day OK, then go for it.
The time it takes is really the only downside to Hopping.

Sure, we've done it and will do it again. And this is a prime example of how using the Express bus will save a lot of time

Sorry to hijack, but is this time estimate accurate for the express bus too? Or would that time estimate be less?

If you know the schedule of the express bus and do your touring so you're near the "bus stop" when you need to be, then your travel time should only be 15-20 min at most.

Awesome, thank you. Do they give out the schedule for that day once you're in the park? Or is it posted in advance so we can plan FP+ around it?

As far as I've heard, the schedule is still:

MK - EP 10/40
MK - DHS 20/50
MK - AK 0/30

EP - MK 10/40
EP - DHS 0/30
EP - AK 20/50

DHS - MK 20/50
DHS EP 0/30
DHS - AK 10/40

AK - MK 0/30
AK - EP 20/50
AK - DHS 10/40

With service starting at 10:00am?

Your plan seems fully doable but you know your family best and if it'd be to much. Maybe this would be a perfect day to use the express bus service :thumbsup2

DD (8) and I will be flying down for a very short 2 day trip next month. 3 parks on the 12th, 3 parks on the 13th plus a 2 hour Pandora preview, a different dessert party each night, a full gamut of FP's both days, a PPO breakfast ADR and 2 dinner ADR's. No way would I attempt this much in such a short amount of time with traditional park to park bus service but with the new express bus service now offered......... Disney has once again magically created just one more way for me to spend even MORE money :rotfl2:

$74 for two hops on express is pricey. Unless you get the multi day and plan to use it for a longer trip I don't think it's worth it and can easily be done without express transportation.
