Park Hoppers and MK After Hours?

Hey everyone. For our 5-day, 6-night trip last week of February 2025 we have park hoppers. I'm also thinking about doing the MK After Hours Party on 2/24. This will be our first day in the parks. Thinking of hitting HS at rope drop, head back to resort for a rest, hit Epcot maybe, then hop over to MK for the After Hours party.

I know we don't HAVE to use our park hoppers for another park the second half of this day, but it seems like a bit of a waste not to.

What do ya'll think of this plan? It's a lot, I know.

That sounds like a busy plan and even with a mid-day break I’d be too tired to really enjoy the AH party. Your hoppers are good for the other 4 days of the trip. I personally don’t see value in hopping just for the sake of doing so.

Too much. AH gets great reports so you’ll want your crew to go into it with a full energy level.

I say go for it! You group should be rested and ready to go at the front end of your visit. I would not try this long day later in your trip. Also don't wait to purchase your AH tickets soon before they sell-out. Just make sure that you plan a later start for your second day.

How busy is your travel day before your first day? What time will you get up or go to bed the day before your first park day?

I agree with others that share it’s not necessary to hop just for the sake of hopping.

In the past when I pushed us too hard our first day it affected the next couple of days. Now we pace ourselves better and find the whole trip is more enjoyable.

Do what is best for your family, just sharing our experiences.

Pacing is so important, but it's hard to remind yourself of that when you first arrive. It's so exciting to be back in the parks. We have learned over many years how to let some stuff slip off the agenda, knowing we will be back soon. I understand many don't know when they will be back so that's a harder compromise to make.

I have just found out that during the MK after hours a showing of Disney Enchantment takes place. I‘m wondering if they pump in the sound of that show at the Polynesian beach too. Does anyone know that?
