Park Hopper to eat in Epcot every night - not worth it?

We always get park hoppers, but I would not do it for the sole reason of going to Epcot for dinner.

No, I do not think you made a poor suggestion. Beach Club is excellent accommodations for walking into Epcot to eat every night of your trip if you choose too. Regal Eagle Smokehouse, Pizza Window in Italy, La Cantina in Mexico, Les Halles in France and the Yorkshire County Fish Shop is one of my favorites and I can be found walking there for dinner multiple times when I stay at Beach Club. You really can't enjoy all of that food any other way except to make trip into the park just for food sometimes.

I remember years ago seeing plenty of posts of people doing exactly that. Getting hoppers and doing Epcot almost every evening for dinner. I haven’t heard it as much recently.

If staying at an Epcot resort you must have a park hopper IMO. They can also stop into France for breakfast one morning!!

Personally staying at the Epcot resorts also has the advantage of being a fairly short bus ride to DS for great food options. In the same one of the biggest downfalls to the Epcot resorts is the food. There are a few decent TS but any type of CS is lacking at best and that includes the overall taste of the Disney owned it is just plain bad. PH are always a good option but because you feel forced for the lack of food at those resorts is not a good reason as I said I would choose the bus ride to DS.

I think it depends what type of restaurants you have access to at home. We live in a large city, so don't go to Epcot for the food as we can get better Italian, Japanese, Middle Eastern etc. food at home and at lower prices. We go to Epcot for the atmosphere, characters, attractions, fireworks, special events, etc. and for those reasons it makes park hoppers worth it to us when we stay at the BC. With access being so convenient, it's nice to be able to add flexibility to the trip.

I find it hard enough to find enough restaurants at Epcot that I want to visit over two Epcot park days, so no.

Thanks for all the perspectives! We don’t last long at the parks, we go early and leave early, rest at hotel, then go back out. Is it still fun to at least get a drink at Epcot?
Yes. It’s fun to drink in Epcot and it’s still fun to eat at Epcot. Festivals really expand the eating options too. As long as you didn’t tell them they’re getting gourmet dining you’re fine. Admittedly every single night would be excessive for me.

On a serious note… Guilt- what’s your plan here? Are you looking for reasons in your life to berate yourself? There is jack you can do at this point so searching your soul asking if you should dwell in pre-guilt has literally no good outcome.

First time at Epcot? They won't know that the pizza at Via Napoli isn't as good as it was 8 years ago. But, they might enjoy talking to the wait staff about life in Italy and asking how they like the "Italian" food in Florida. Likewise, they may not like German food, but they might love listening to a live German band. Or, think about the first time you saw the inside of the Mexican Pavilion. There are quite a few restaurants in WDW that I go to, but not for the food.

The way I see it, if you leave the parks fairly early, it's easy to just stroll over, even for an hour. And you don't have to deal with long lines and Disney transportation--you'll do it more often because it's so convenient. WS is especially nice at night.

We stayed at the Yacht and Beach Club several times, and went to Epcot in the evenings. For us, it isn't something that we would do every time now---but, only because we've done it.

Another option is to split between going to Epcot and going to DS.

Thanks again for all the thoughts! Yea, I know, guilt is pointless in this situation! I’m still waiting to pull the trigger on joining them myself. Want to see exact dates of SAB closure.

I just talk up Disney so much, I don’t want to look like an idiot, ha.
