Park Hopper Signature

The back of our park hoppers have a signature line. Are we supposed to sign this prior to our arrival to the first park or at the gate in front of a CM or do we not seed to sign at all? Thanks!

We were just there a couple weeks ago and they never had us sign ours(they were 2 day parkhoppers). I'm not sure if we were supposed to or not but no one ever said anything to us about it.

I would sign in it just in case they get lost or stolen.
