Park Hopper Plus confusion

You've all been wonderful and I am hoping that someone can help me with this question.

I have purchased 7 day Park Hopper Plus tickets for my DS and me. If on one of the days we choose to only use the plus part of our ticket, say a day at TL, and do not visit any of the parks, will that day count as one of our seven?

I have received conflicting info from Disney.

Thank you.

The 7 days are for the theme parks: MK, Epcot, MGM and AK. The Pluses are separate, for water parks, PI, ect. I think you get 4 pluses with a 7-day hopper. So if you go to TL and no theme parks that day, you've just used one plus. If you went to MK and TL that day, you've used one hopper day and one plus. HTH

The plusses could also be good for Disney Quest and Pleasure Island.

A lot of people get confused by the "Park Hopper" for the 4 parks and the "Plusses" for waterparks, DQ, and PI. Many times you will see it noted like 7+4PHP meaning 7 "park" days and 4 "Pluses". The pluses can be used on the same day, or on different days from the Park Hopper days.

Is the 7-day less expensive than an AP? I don't know, just thought I'd ask. I thought the crossover was aroun 7 or 8 days.

They'd have to get a Premium Annual Pass to get the "plus" parts of PHP passes, so the cost calculation is a little different. I think the 7 day php is what they want. Just my 2 cents on that.

Now, for my question, I'm getting conflicting info on whether the "plus" can be used for Disney Quest. I know we could use it with the Ultimate Park Hopper (the one they gave you with the Fairy Tale Package), but I've read somewhere that DQ is not a regular plus.

Can anyone help on that?

Ok now I'm confused. I have a 6 day Park Hopper Plus- does this mean that I can spend 6 days in the regular theme parks & a day in the water parks equalling 7 days or does it mean that I have 6 days of fun all together? I hope I bought the right tickets....

That's why I put "ect" in my post. I always read conflicting info about DQ and Wide World of Sports as plus options. Maybe they're included in the UPH and not a PHP?

PS- You can only HOP at the four theme parks, you can't HOP your pluses! If you go to TL, then decide to go to Blizzard Beach the same day, you've just used 2 pluses.

OK, I hope I can help here. This last summer We had 4+1 aka 4 day park hopper plus.

We got 4 days in the theme parks and 1 visit to DQ, PI, TL, or BB whether or not it was on the same day as we visited a park.

If you go to AK then go to DQ afterwards you will use a Park Hopper day (one of the "4") and the Plus.

We bought additional plusses that were waterparks only, but the one that came with the PHP+ Definately was good for DQ. I know, because I used it there. You can certainly check with where-ever you bought the tickets though.

We bought extra plusses and had 6 full days of activity even though we only had 4-day PHP. the other days we used the plusses.

Also, I think the 6-day PHP+ is actually 6+2, but you need to verify what you bought.

Think of the plusses as a totally separate thing from the hopper- If you bought the 7day plus - you have 7 days of park hopping in the 4 main parks. you then have 4 plusses you can use as TL,BB,Pleasure Island and WWOS. You are free to use the plusses on the same day as a park day or on a day by itself and it counts as one plus. If you go to BB, TL and Pleasure Island all in one day its 3 plusses. DQ is not included in these tickets, only the ultimate park hopper. That question is specifically addressed in the FAQ section on the official WDW site. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you more!

Ok I just got off the phone with a Disney reprensentitive. The three plus options are in addition to the 6 theme park days. Now what am I going to do... I already have my tickets and my room paid for and I had only planned for 6 days, but now I have 7 and I don't want to waste a theme park day that would just be well wastefull. And it's at least a 7 1/2- 8 hour drive from where I am if you don't stop. My dad said that maybe I should camp the last night and stay an extra day but my mom doesn't want to keep my dog. My mother in law would probably keep him but he's not a very good dog and quite frankly I haven't been married that long. Oh dear, I don't even know if I can convince my DH to stay an extra day. What to do What to do What to do. Does anyone know how much it is to camp in a tent at Fort Wilderness, can you camp in a tent there? That might be fun. But we'd have to take the expedition and not the rav 4 to put the camping equipment in and the gas mileage is so bad, ok now i'm rambling advice pleeeese!

Do you have 6 full days- plus your check in and check out days? IF so you could use one of your park days on check in day- IF you leave home early enough to arrive in the parks by say 1 or 2. And then you could hit a water park on another day. Or you could go to a water park in the morning and then hit one of the parks around 1 or 2 and return to a different park at nite. This is very doable if you are staying onsite.

Well ok I check in on the 28th of February and I check out on the 6th of March that is 7 full nights, I guess 8 days but I live in Upstate SC and last year we left at 9 pm and drove through the night to arrive in Orlando by 5 the next morning. We didn't stop at all. Going home from Orlando took us about 10 hours because we stopped to eat. But it was very very tiring that first day in MK. And the hotel was picked by Priceline and it is 27 miles from Disney...

Additional question.....do the plus days have to be consecutive?
In other words, is a 6 day PHP only good for 6 days in a row or can you split them here and there?

I am planning to do Universal also, and am wondering if I can go there in the middle of my 6 days?

Your plus days do not have to be consecutive. I have php tickets from three years ago and they have one or two plus' left on them. They never expire. Only an Ultimate Park Hopper tickets will expire.

Neither park days nor plus options will ever expire on a PHP. The days do not have to be used consecutively. If you don't use all park days or options just save the tickets for your next trip. PHPs allow hopping between the main parks on the same days, but no hopping between the plus options. The plus options are for BB, TL and PI. It does not include DQ. Supposedly it also allows 2 admissions to WWoS, but it is not counted as a separate plus option.

A 6 day PHP includes 3 plus options. Theoretically this will allow up to nine days of activity. Here is an example of how it can be stretched to 9 days:

Day1--MK
Day2--Epcot
Day3--BB
Day4--MGM
Day5--TL
Day6--AK
Day7--MK in am and MGM in pm
Day8--PI (although it really doesn't get going or require admission until nighttime).
Day9--Epcot

However, if you go to a park in the am and to PI or a waterpark n the same day you've used both one park day and one plus option.

I know that the park days never expire, but are the plus options good indefinitely even if you have used up the park days? We are going in May and buying 5 day PHP. We plan to spend 5 days in the parks and 1 day at BB. Is the other plus option open for us to use on a later trip?
:wave2:

Kiddoc,

Yes, plus options also never expire. Hold onto the tickets and use yhem on your next trip.

So, here is one potential plan:

Sun Magic Kingdom
Mon Epcot
Tue MGM
Wed Magic Kingdom
Thur Blizzard Beach
Fri Animal Kingdom
Sat Universal Studios

So, based on what I've read, I can just buy a 5 day park hopper plus to do this, right? I had thought I needed a 6 day.

That is correct, you 5 day hopper plus will cover your plan and give you a left over plus feature.
