Does anyone here know of a hotel that has gated park and fly in Minneapolis near the airport? I am having a hard time finding out this information. Thanks!

I don't know of any hotels that have "gated" Park N Fly. Are you concerned someone will drive off with your car if it's in a non-gated ramp?

I can tell you that I have several friends who use Park N Fly hotels for a week at WDW and no one has ever had any problems with their car. One of the best hotel reviews is from the Fairfield Inn in Eagan... IIRC...my friend has said that in the winter, they will warm up the car and if there's snow, scrape it for her after they have arrived back at MSP.

We're going to be flying from MSP in July & I have that same question. Is there anywhere where you can find a list of hotels that do Park & Fly? :surfweb:

I was kind of looking at either the Embassy Suites - MSP A/Port or the Homewood Suites - Mall of America. I'm sure Embassy Suites has a shuttle to the a/port, but do the Homewood Suites?

Any other suggestions as to where the best place to stay would be?

Just do a Google search for MSP Park and Fly hotels.

A lot of hotels in the Bloomington and Eagan area have Park and Fly rates. I'm pretty sure the Embassy Suites is one of them. Just search your dates and look for a Park and Fly rate. I have seen some hotel websites where you have to call for a Park & Fly rate, but most will have it bookable on their website.

Hi,

I don't think you are going to find gated hotel/motel parking lots...however, given the choice of putting my car in an Bloomington or Eagan hotel lot, I'd take Eagan. quieter area.

There are nice newer hotels in Eagan and the rates are a lot less than Bloomington's hotels rates.

herc..

We plan on doing this in February... is there a time limit to the "free" parking w/hotel stay, if you go over so many days do they charge? We will be gone for 12 days.

Where I started was the list on the airport website that shows hotels that offer shuttles, then I just planned on calling from that list to see who offers free parking.

If I have seen a limit...I've seen 10 days. But I'd call a hotel and ask anyway.

My favorite is the Crowne Plaza in Eagan. You can get it for $99 with the parking. It has been a great place to stay at for my family. To get the deal, go to crowneplaza.com and search for the Eagan hotel. Then contact the sales manager via the email link... ask for the Hobbit Travel park and fly special.... Their lot is not gated, but it is very safe and out of the way... I had no concerns leaving my car there...

The hotel is at 494 and Pilot Knob Road.

Have a great trip! Duds

Thanks everyone!

We have just always had gated parking when we flew out of OHare. I will defintely look into Eagan. Thanks for the tips! :)

I love that Embassy Suites, but they are not available for my night. :(

There is a Holiday Inn right across the street, and also hotels near the megamall. We have left our car there a lot of times and never had problems...We live in Bloomington.
