Can anyone recommend a good affordable hotel near seatac that I can park my van at and stay at after returning? I need a hotel with a shuttle to the airport and back again when we return.

I hope this is in the right forum.

We stayed at the Clarion a couple of weeks ago. We had a reservation with Rodeway Inn... they couldn't find our reservation and it gave me the creeps.. so we went next door to the Clarion. I think it was $135 for one night and 6 days of parking.

I found this web site for park and fly but one of the places they recommended was red roof in and when I looked at trip adviser some said that there were hookers in the hallways and stuff...yikes!

Hi there, we are from bc,canada and when we went to DL in may, we flew out of seattle...we stayed at the best western rivers edge....it was a VERY nice motel and the shuttle was on time....we paid 159 a night and parked our car for free for 10 days (i think i was supposed to be charged 10 a day for the last 3 days of my vehicle but i never was)...this is where we will definately stay on our next trip...

It seems the better hotels to stay in are a little farther from the airport, I would second the best western though. And always read the reviews because the airport is not in the greatest area

If you are wanting affordable, we stayed at the Super 8. I think it was about $80 or so (but that was a few years back) and you could park your car free for a week. It is outside parking, but it does have lights in the parking lot. Nothing fancy, but it was clean. We have also stayed at the Ramada Inn Suites or something like that. They had covered underground parking, but I really didn't like that, as nobody could see your car if somebody was breaking into it and you were parked so close to each other, we had to get out so my DH could park the car!

We stayed at the Doubletree (right across from Sea-tac). It was very spacious and quiet. Probably a little nearer the $150 per night fee. We parked at MasterPark for $14 per day with free shuttle. When you return, they have your car pulled up and opened up for you.

Hi there! I'm writing this from Seattle:))

So yes, the airport isn't in Seattle at all (where all the best hotels are). SeaTac airport is a bit more south, and no- not in the best area. I agree and say to go with a Best Western, Doubletree or other chain 3 star hotel :)

BTT- any new recommendations for hotels near airport or best area. My family of three will be going in June
