My friend is plannng a ONE day Magic Kingdom only day, on the 29th of December. So far she has NO ADR's!!! I am trying to help her get some type of plans and reservations. Perhaps being able to go to a monorail resort??? Her sister and family have never been there and will probably not get to go again. I'm sure they won't get Chef Mickey, but we really love the Grand Floridian Cafe and I was wondering, for people who have been there that week, do you think the park will close, and I should not encourage them to leave during that day, or do you think they'll be OK taking a lunch or dinner break at a close resort??? I think it would be neat for them to even see the decorations too, but not at the expense of not being able to get in the park. Thanks in advance!!!

Don't take my word on this, but I have only ever heard of MK filling to capacity on Christmas Day and 4th of July, so I would think they would be safe to leave for lunch and come back. I would suggest if they wanted to leave for lunch, either GF Cafe or Kona Cafe at the Poly. I think they would love either. The GF's decorations are something to behold though.

If they want, they could try to schedule the 'Ohana breakfast early, like 7:30, so they could be over to MK by 9:00 as well.
