How's the cell phone receptions in the parks? I'm using an iPhone/ATT Wireless and may receive important email/texts during my trip. Can anyone here tell me their experience? An iPhone/ATT Wireless 3G would be GREAT!! Thanks:thumbsup2

I've never had a problem with cell or data reception in the parks.

I have AT&T and didn't have a problem with reception...BUT...you can rarely hear your phone ring, if you wear it on you, you might want to try vibrate if you are waiting for a message or call. I missed quite a few calls b/c I could not hear the phone while in the parks.

Awesome, thanks. Do you remember if you got Full Bars at all the parks?

The parks have great coverage from Sprint, Verizon and ATT. Some corners of resorts and deep inside buildings, not so much.

I have Verizon and I get terrible reception in a lot of places in the parks and resorts. I never had too much of an issue with sms and e-mail except in my resort room but making and receiving calls was a pain in the a.

Weirdly enough, the places I did get reception I got wonderful reception mostly 5 bars, sometimes 4. The places that I had trouble my phone would waste battery searching for reception-so it was only in the extremes.

That was ok when I has a smaller phone but now I will have the Blackberry Storm for our next trip and I already have to charge that thing every day, I'll have to carry my charger with me everywhere.

I have ATT and it was fine in March. I have 4 to 5 bars through the whole part, but like a pp I never would hear the phone ring. The background noise of the park is pretty loud.

as disney uses nextel for internal communications, there is a nextel tree on property

I have verizon and have had no problem, I agree you can barley hear your phone ringing but on the other hand the best reception and I mean full bars was actually inside the ride of its a small world... Go figure!!!!!:rotfl2:

Great news!! I can relate with the charger issue, the iPhone 3G needs a lot of charging.

I was using Verizon via an LG Voyager phone, and never had any problems.

Verizon, never any problems except when going on rides that are inside a building (i.e. POTC, Test Track, Mission:SPACE, Soarin', Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, TOT and RnRC, etc.). But, most of those have lines that start outside somewhere and go inside and it's great reception until you are actually a little ways inside of the building. Haha maybe Disney has Cell Jammers inside of the buildings, never know!

We now have Tmobile and I dread to see the coverage that we get. Anyone Know?

We use verizon, and at the time both had Motorola Razrs. Often, the call would not go through, but text messaging worked just fine.

We never had reception in our resort room. We had to stand outside the room to make calls. Also in some places in the parks...we were in innoventions in Epcot and there was no reception. Inside rides we lost signals. I also agree with the other poster that you will never hear your phone ring. Put it in your pocket on vibrate.
Edited to add that we have AT&T service.

Same here. I'm a Verizon user and have never had any problems in any of the parks.
