Park cell phone reception?

I too am a Verizon user, and had great service pretty much everywhere on property. In the past, I've had very bad luck using the less expensive LG phones on the Verizon network, they never get good signal for me. I stick to the higher end Motorola's, as they almost always have great reception.

Perhaps that was my problem. Everytime I went I either had a LG Chocolate or Voyager in the past 3-4 years or so. Now I will have my Blackberry so hopefully it'll be wonderfull all the time. I never have had great reception at Pop though and this topic has been discussed before, it's a common issue with terrible reception at a lot of resorts.

I actually hear my ringtone most of the time but when I go to WDW, I switch the tone itself to a very loud annoying tone that's impossible to miss. I have tried putting it on ring & vibrate but I never feel the vibrate anywhere.

Awesome, thanks. Do you remember if you got Full Bars at all the parks?

We use our iPhone's in the parks all the time.. There are places that have full signal and others that don't. I remember commenting to my wife a few times in the past that "I am surprised that disney world isn't better covered for 3G." So I know I found areas of poor coverage, but can't remember where.

The last trip seemed to have better coverage so they maybe fixed a bad cell tower or added some new ones.

We use our iPhones to monitor our business while at WDW and we are able to function pretty good. The only truely dead areas are on some rides inside buildings. In the queues for like Pirates, the coverage is spotty.. Same thing on Soarin and others that have queues inside buildings. What really surprises me though is the signal has always been great in the queue for TOT and Mission Space.

I've only had sporadic issues with AT&T coverage on my iPhone while down there - usually inside buildings in ride lines. Like someone else said though, I never hear it ring or beep though because it's so noisy. I tend to switch if off 3G and onto Edge when I know I'm in a situation where I'm going to want to maintain the charge for as long as possible and won't be actively using it to browse the web or whatever. It'll last for days on on Edge.
